To gain a better idea of the kind of culture and people at Larian Studios, could those who have some insight please characterise the sort of people and culture there? It might be helpful to distinguish Larian Studios from other gaming studios like Paradox, Valve, Slitherine, Frontier, etc.

As an example, if Larian Studios were a monster, what would they be?
What sort of music would you hear playing at Larian Studios rather than Paradox, for example?

Sweet, adorkable, creative, ambitious, indecisive, passionate and friendly are words I'd use to describe everyone at Larian.

I don't have a monster to give you, because of my knowledge of D&D monsters isn't the greatest.

For music just listen to Power of Innocence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW4qucYwwvQ also Kirill's Divinity Concert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dStHe6h_Xg

For insight into their history you can watch these three videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZF_cP_oLH4 , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_wKAmBEa8Q , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKwi_5nePZg .

"indecisive"?! I am not sure if that is a desirable trait for a business ... eh, or at least, that could be the case for some businesses. It could also mean that Larian, like Argyle, follows the misty paths of Leira in search of unknowing. Yes, that's probably the case here, I am sure of ... well, then again I am not sure that makes any sense, especially where cash management is concerned. On the other hand, what is the real value of money but for the belief that it has value? Now I have this image in my mind of "adorkable" gnome-like people wearing brightly colored lederhosen, all hunched over computer keyboards and sitting next to piles of gold coins carelessly strewn upon nearby wooden tables. Yes, of this we can be sure. Er, well, maybe not quite like that, but it must be something similar.

That's easy! The name Larian comes from the founder's dog's name Lar. Well that's actually an animal rather than a monster. Here be dragons?

They're people working each one on a pc of their own. They'd have headsets wink

I actual word I was looking for was perfectionist, but I couldn't think of it at the time. Indecision can come as a result of their perfectionist nature, buts definitely not the trait I wanted to highlight. I'll update my post with the correct term.

Edit: Can't edit my original post, because it was too long ago.
