OK - so I just got this game and I'm a bit frustrated. First of all, I can't seem to find the patch anywhere and I hear it will clear up most of my problems (like when I go down a level into the catacombs, my girl goes down there, but I can't see her - the only thing I can do is save and reload, otherwise, I stay on the level she left...)

OK, so I can find the patch that goes from 1.29 to 1.32, but I can't find either the original patch 1.29, or a full patch to 1.32. Can someone PLEASE help me???

Which language version do you have? If it is english or french, then the Patch V1.1 is already included in your game when you bought it. You only need the patch for the german version.

Yeah I have 1.1, but isn't there a patch that brings you up to 1.32? I downloaded what was on your page when I installed the game, and it didn't work, b/c it just brings 1.29 up to 1.32 - it doesn't seem to be an all inclusive patch...or am I retarded? B/c I tried it several times and NOTHING happened....

By the way, is the whole - having to save and load from a different level a common problem???

If you start the game, the version info is shown in the main menu. What version do you see there? And what language of the game do you use?
And what did you do with the file you downloaded? You executed it on your PC, didn't you?

First - I'm a SHE.

And of course I executed the file. It starts to install but then it doesn't update anything.

I have 1.1, and it's in English.

1.1 you say, and what version number does the startup screen give or is that 1.1? in that case, you did something wrong with the hotfix

Ok, 1.1 is what it says.

So I go and get the 1.32 patch from the link that you sent me - did that last week. nothing happened. deleted it. did it again. nothing happened. the guy that told me about the game came over and i showed him what was happening and he said he never encountered this problem.

so he brought me one of his back up computers. thinking something was wrong with mine. same thing happened.

so i read closer about the patches - and it only updates from version 1.29 to 1.32, but i only have 1.1.

what i need is a patch that either goes from 1.1 to 1.32, or 1.1 to 1.29, so then i can get the 1.29 to 1.32.

am i making sense?

Yes, it is just hard to believe, since the delivery version of the english CDs should really be 1.29. So I (and the others) just don't understand how your version number could "drop down". And since there exists a patch 1.1 for the german version (bringing the german game version from "nothing" to 1.29) I thought you somehow confused that.

Perhaps you could try the hard work of moving your save files (I think in the folder run/savegames/ ) to a save place, deinstall the game, reinstall it, start it, and check the version number. If it is 1.29, move the savegames into the appropriate place, and install the patch. If it isn't 1.29, I currently have no idea about how to continue, then the "officials" here would have to take a look at it.

as for uninstalling and reinstalling, i did that. 3 times. on my old computer. and then installed it on the second computer. didn't work.

now i'm super confused - so the game is actually supposed to come as version 1.29? and somehow i have 1.1. hmm...interesting...

ok - so i should take this problem to another forum? for technical advice?
