I was watching this video today (sorry it is in French only)
http://www.jeuxvideo.com/reportages...est-devenue-la-french-touch-00115430.htm

It is about the "French touch" in video games and the specificity of French developers...
We got answers like "we always try to innovate and do not re-use what we previously made"(euh I will not nammed the upcomming watch dogs which is quite similar to Assassin's Creed... both producted by Ubi) or "we have a special point of view in the narration" (hrum)

Later, I taunted (nicely) a Belgium friend about belgium habits, but here is my question to Larian :

What is the Belgium touch in video games?!
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 06/09/13 12:50 PM
I think humor.
Posted By: Von_Rotten Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 06/09/13 03:39 PM
Achel Brune and Boterhammen. Gets the creative juices flowing.

BOTERHAMMEN.

Also, Belgian*

Stutten met choco!
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 09/09/13 01:57 PM
I think Rod means "Stuuten"
Posted By: Rod Lightning Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 09/09/13 05:08 PM
I meant neither of those non existant words.

Drinking our unparalleled variety of godly beers while writing. But that's just me.
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 09:01 AM
So what is your favorite for the moment.
Curently I'm very fond of Malheur 10 and Hopus.
Posted By: dwelfusius Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 09:33 AM
triple karmeliet always!
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 09:37 AM
Karmeliet, yeah that is a real girl beer ;p j/k (just say that because my GF loves that to, while she normally doesn't relly drink beer)
Posted By: Macbeth Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 10:01 AM
Funny you should mention Hopus. It's a current favourite of mine!
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 10:25 AM
Well, seems you have got an excellent taste for beer wink And Hopus is almost allways on stock at the Colruyt, since it seems not many people actually know it well laugh
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 10:28 AM
so have you written your "it's going to be awsome" in to the game yet?

Not yet, no! smile
Maybe I'll give Bellegar the honour...

Nah, let them make some nice theater in a abbandoned city or a amphitheatre somewhere in the woods (Dark Forest). There you can put a wicked pipesmoking maniacal scriptwriter, who is totally living in his head shouting the legendary words from time to time. :p

hehe the hermit again ^^
Posted By: Rod Lightning Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 11/09/13 01:41 PM
Tongerlo Prior and t-t-t triple Karmeliet are some of my household beers.
Posted By: DarthDavy Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 12/09/13 10:10 AM
It's great to be a Belgian. So many good beers, so much to choose from.

And every beer festival I attend there is always something new to taste.

But some of my favorites: Malheur 10, Rochefort 10, Orval, West-Vleteren 12, Hommelbier and Piraat.
Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 12/09/13 10:33 AM
It is a shame Orval is so hard to comeby these day's.

If you can't get West-Vleteren, just buy St. Bernardus Abt 12. Its made with the same recepy as Westfletern. West-Fleteren has been brewed in the Sint-Bernardus brewery untill the "trappisten-label" decided you can only call a beer a trappist if it's really brewed within the wals of a abby.

I guess, we should be talking about beer in the chat section of the forum. wink

so it seems that beers are the Belgium touch, Larian you should make a great thing around beers in D:OS (like quest about how to make the best beer ever or a beerland or beer festival^^)
Posted By: Rod Lightning Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 12/09/13 06:06 PM
The fact that Divine Divinity had a great variety of beverages always made me happy. The Inns in DD (especially the one in Verdistis) were so cool.

Also, less wine more beer in game. Plebs can't buy fancy wine I say!

I think what everyone means, is that La Chouffe is actually the best beer.
Posted By: dwelfusius Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 15/09/13 10:04 AM
way to spin a whole conversation your way laugh bravo : cheer
Posted By: Chaotica Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 15/09/13 01:28 PM

Posted By: Dexyd Re: The Belgium touch in video games?! - 16/09/13 08:32 AM

Not bad, but certainly not best. Just a regular good Belgian beer.
