My survivor is level 18 now. How did you start with bow and pickpocket?

In Act 1 I put my skill pts only into bow => acc and critical hit for combat against Fergie, DK etc. In the Citadel I put 2 pts into pp. I always kept 1-2 skill pts free, so I could add if I wanted a BF item badly. Wait, I'll look how my skills were at end of Act 1 and then edit my post.

I think point blank was a waste - but you can see clearly here, my int was on 1 - so, I had not started to give her mana ability. this screenies is right outside the Citadel exit.

This is at the beginning of Act 3. I have started to build her up as a hammer mage. Pts are on 2, not more, I maxed that out to 5 in Act 4

This is at the beginning of Act 4. PP on 4, hammer on 4 - the other 2 spells were just for experiments => lightning on 2, meteor on 1. I didn't know what to do with my skill pts - and you see, I had still 3 left.Hammer on 4 only needs 200 mana, so this was sufficient for me.

my endstats, getting ready to fight the endboss. I still had my bow skills, no melee, but had added Ethereal magic age objects on 5. I wanted to see, how my char will survive without any sword skills and see how much impact age objects had. I used hammer (still on 4, didn't max out, was too lazy, though I had a skill pt free). Was too lazy to remove lightning and meteor.

I'm level 18 with an intelligence of 7. I can just now cast hammer 1 time. Should I even bother trying to become a wizard or just stick to crossbows?

Play whatever style is the most fun - this is a game.

You can raise intelligence and do more casting, work on archery or become a melee warrior (agility is really nice for this - more important than strength probably).

Even for a pure warrior ability to cast hammer will be useful - I don't think I could have won the final fight without it without sucking down scores or hundreds of healing potions <yawn>.

Reality is for those who cannot cope with fantasy. Fortunately, I can cope quite well.

at level 18 it might be a bit late to change path but it is not impossible. You dont really need that much mana just enough to get you through and then you have your mana potions. I do not have a very high intelligence and can still play wizard. Though it does get a bit tedious from time to time using endless supplies of mana potions

elemental curse agains water followed by lightning storm and no one will survive. very good combination.

You can say that again! It is a very powerful combination, and Lighting Storm hits multiple enemies. With a few levels of Lightning plus one level of the curse, my archer/mage is doing 200+ damage to multiple foes--usually fatal...heh...

Another thing that is fun is to sneak up to a group of baddies and blast 'em with a good fireball or two...LOL...That will clear a room fast...Just make sure not to hit your second char with it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
