I had this virus detected and removed by Norton Antivirus upon completion of the install of 1st Page 2000

GoldyLocks: you might want to check out these sites, which all claim: "... the fact is that this file is an EXAMPLE JavaScript in one of the 1st Page subdirectories (albeit, not a particularly clever choice for inclusion by EvrSoft). The script is completely harmless unless you explicitly invoke it." They recommend just deleting that file.

Thanks for the info. After the dectection I uninstalled it and deleted if from my pc. Did not want to take any chances. There should be a warning of some kind to let people know that this virus is false and will do no harm.

The virus isn't a hoax, it's just dormant. If you run that one file, it may activate. At least, that's how I understood the report.

I did not take any chances and removed the whole thing.
