All quests are in a mess. Take a look in my problem, which concerns that $@#$ doctor Elrath:
I was supposed to enter a cave south of the farms full of poison barrels. There I should have found an orc named Tipsix and kill him to get a key which opens a door in Blue Boar Inn cellar which also contains barrels with poison so we can expose that Elrath 1st Problem: I found the cave before talking to Hugh and Elli. When I returned back there after taking the quest was no orc to find and kill. That means => No key. 2nd Problem: I talked too soon to Elrath and now I can't enter the house 'cause the door is locked and I can't find him nowhere.
Please, please I would appreciate any help. I can't continue with the game and that has really pissed me off. . I have made a lot of quests till now and I am in no mood to begin with the game again.

Life's a bitch, ain't it?
1. and foremost: have you patched your game? If not, you should, really!
2. if there is no orc to kill in the cave to get the key, try lockpicking the door in the basement of the Blue Boar Inn, that could pick up the quest (talking to the guy at the bar about the poison you found in the basement)
3. a key to Dr E.'s house can possibly be found under a stone south of his house. If not, try lockpicking.
(You may have to see to get to level 5 in lockpicking!)

Tipsix should be in the cave (just south of the farmlands, west of the Blue Boar inn) after you talk to Huge, even if you had found the cave earlier.
It doesn't matter when you confront the doctor the first time. Even if you had found the room he rented full of poison, he would just have claimed to have lost the key to the room long ago, and didn't know anything about the poison.
IIRC you need level 2 Lockpick for Elrath's house, until you confront him a second time after entering and getting hard evidence, after which it is not Lockpickable. The house key is a bit south east of the house.

All quests are indeed a bit complicated.
However if you want you can try and NOT do a few quests so when you set up your next character you will have a "new element" of the game to play. You dont have to complete all quests, only those relating to the main plot are important in case you feel overwhelmed.
Also you can do the same with skills.

No need to SEE him - just enter and investigate his house thoroughly, after which he'll find you!

o... k... I've been to his house and nothing! I searched every room, I even went to the cellar... and nothing. I go out of the house and nothing happens. Does it have anything to do with the fact, that I've already met him and broke into his house for the medicine?

Have you entered the room with the djinn in the basement, found the two healing potions and the letter dicriminating Dr Elrath???
Then, and only then will you have searched thoroughly and get your 2nd confrontation with Dr E.

At the firs time I took only those two potions (and some other stuff... but that doesn't matter ). I didn't see any djinn and I could just not see the letter - there is a LOT of books and scrolls. ok, so what I have to do is just to look for a letter (what's with that djinn?), am I correct?

I am surprised - that room should have been guarded by a djinn (that is quite hefty).
And the scroll would be lying on the table among some other stuff

There are wounds that bleed inside us
There are wounds we never see
They are part of our refinements
That allow a man to be
There are wounds that bleed in silence
With aristocratic grace
There are tears we keep beside them
Never seen upon a face

ok, I went to the house, got the letter from the cellar, Elrath stopped me when I was leaving the house, I teleported to Sir Patrick to tell him about Elrath, three assasins attacked me right after the teleport... I talked with Sir patrick and finished the quest. But no djinn

You mean you talked with Commander Ralph to finish the quest, not Sir Patrick in Verdistis? Because that's who it is supposed to be reported to.
