I am trying to contact support@larian.com
I have 5 days trying to contact somebody to help me with a problem with my BEYOND DIVINITY game.
The game start validating the disc and at 25% the window close and no errors are shown.
I try everything I read in this forum, but, no luck.
Somebody told me to sent an email to support@larian.com
I did it 3 times in this past 5 days, but nobody answer.

What is the problem with support ?

Hello

I am not part of the larian team

I read this post with concern, but i bought the beyond divinity game and could not install it due to my virus scanner saying there was a virus on there disk as soon as i put the disk in then it shut down the autorun program that installs the game. I asked for help about this but no one from technical support answer, i have mcafee version 8 installed, also all my spyware program went mad with that cd, i now took the game back to where i bought it and got a refund had to tell the shop the reason why, i said there was a virus on it.

I am also angry, no at least bioware forum the support team read all of the comments on there i have had numerous replies on there forum about neverwinter night game.

Regards

Andrew

If the copy protection exits without an error, it means the problem is with the game itself starting (the progress bar only ever goes to 1/4 or 1/3 before it is done).

I'm not sure what else to suggest, that wasn't already mentioned in the other topic you posted in, yet another "Game simply won't start!"-thread.

There is no virus on the CD. It is much more likely the anti-virus and spyware programs are choking on the copy protection (AVG had no problems when I just checked the UK English version).

Most application installations suggest that "ALL" windows programs be closed when doing an install. Especially Anti-virus software, that may see data being written to your hard drive as a serious issue. I used to use McAffee and it is garbage. It constantly cock blocked my system and slowed it down. Try disabling the AV software at a minimum before installing it should solve your problem. Good Luck.

Intheslot hit it OntheHead!
disable all AV before install,
AND IF YOU DIDN'T DO THAT before installing,
you will have to uninstall and then re-install with AV disabled! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> should work fine after that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

i didn't mean uninstall AV, i meant uninstall <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> and then re-install it with AV disabled.

What programs do you have installed on the computer?
What operating system?
If its is XP, what Service pack and Updates?
Do you have a anti-spyware or registry monitor?
What does your computer gets used for mainly? (office work, games, internet, downloading, etc.) - this will give me an idea of what could possibly have creeped into your computer.
How long ago was your computer installed (or reformated, pretty much, how long has the current OS been on the system? )
Was the operating system a upgrade or a fresh installation?

IF you do not have a anti spyware or registry monitor installed, try this one and see what problems it comes up with.

http://files1.majorgeeks.com/files/1c63926ebcabda26b5cdb31b5cc91efb/spyware/spybotsd13.exe

This is so far the one program that i found to be least intrusive with other programs, yet it comes back with any problems that crawled onto the computer....yes they crawl through firewalls, anti-virus, anti almost everything.. mine runs once a day and it VERY often removes fresh problems.

Also
If you are running XP with Service pack 1 go to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;327979
THey have more information about the problem... they say its only for microsoft games... TRUST me it fixes the same problem globally, they just not allowed to claim that of other company's products. There is also a update to fix this problem.

You can also try the new DirectX 9.0c.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...9908-d418cdeac197&DisplayLang=en
This fixes crashing problems i had on 2 computers with this game... (I run a internet café that also does lan gaming and just loads of gaming sessions.)

And if you are looking for a DECENT anti virus program that does not interfere with the game (or for that matter anything), with built in firewall and it works BRILLIANTLY in a team with spybot to keep 99.9999999999999% of all bad stuff off, go to www.trendmicro.com. Their PC cillin is so far the best i have found out of the major companies like norton (slows your computer down a lot - and i have found up to 80 viruses on a computer with norton running and updated with pc cillin), mcaffee (eeeeeeek not only does it let viruses through, its slow, unstable, plain EEEEEEKKKK ), bit defender (over priced and doesnt work half as good as even norton), and some others too...

Let me know if this helps, otherwise we think of what else it can be...
