One of the russian players found the way to fix the problem. I have not played enough to be sure that the bug does not appear but, it seems so.

In the English version of the game, the equipment.txt files start off with;

[color:"orange"]translation "Kitchen knife","Kitchen knife"
translation "Knife","Knife"
...[/color]

Perhaps the quotes (") were not translated properly, or the quote, comma, quote (",") was misinterpreted when switching to the Russian alphabet.

As I said already sometimes, for example, "[color:"orange"]* Acid Rain[/color]" stands after the comma instead of "[color:"orange"]Acid Rain[/color]" (in russian version it isn't "Acid Rain", of course, but I'm sure you won't be able to see the letters as I see them). Where * is really not the "star" symbol but the bold point.:)

I suggest you make this file manually, do not play using downloaded file (look through theese two files using Notepad:), they have little in common).

The huge problem which has been described earlier in this thread has been fixed more than two/three weeks ago. The file has been sent to Buka. Don't know if they have distributed the file yet.

I can only repeat the following:
We are currently working on fixing alot of problems with the story and we will be releasing a patch for all the different versions once this is done.

I've told you this already a while ago and that I'll bring news when I have this. It's really of no use bombing me with messages. You won't hear me again till I have this news.
