so much suffering and pain for the download of a game. Alright i guess i will just buy it when i'm able to, cause over 20 hours download time? when should i be playing dd then??

Well, if you know where to download, it doesn't take over 20 hours... (depending on your connection of course). Just theoretically - since I live in Germany and can't and won't admit any software piracy - I could have downloaded it in about 2 hours.

Somehow it seems inappropriate to me to discuss or disseminate the piracy of a new video game on this website.

The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?

DD doesn't use your internet . You can have the download on in the background .

But Cleglaw is right... I was actually surprised that people are talking about downloading here... in a software developer's forum.

I will buy the game but first I have to take some free time... which means work the next three days like a berserk. And then... Oblivion...

Questions:
 • Are there any new classes, or are they all the same as Morrowind?
 • Do you (also like in Morrowind) need to choose a class and a brightsign or has it been renewed? and can you again create your own class?
 • Is the world as big as Morrowind or is it only in a part of Tamriel?
 • From how many different types of hosres can you chose? or are they all the same?
 • Do you now have female creatures (exept from npc's and skeletons)?
 • Do you have an aiming icon like in Morrowind or is it gone?
 • Are there new types of armor, and is Daedric still in the game?
 • Is the construction set standard for the PC-version?

(I know, it are a lot of questions)

all those beatifull graphics, that gameplay, must .... have......Oblivion....

Just watched some of the trailers and i'm shocked (in the good way) you kill a goblin or something like that and it falls with it's head on a bench an the rest of his body lies perfectly on the ground. How do they do that??? i'm so amased.

I have a 1.8 PIII I think, 512 RAM, 80 Gigs, and a GFORCE FX5700

I think Ill have to wait for my new computer in June to get this.

[*]Are there any new classes, or are they all the same as Morrowind?
You mean races or classes? I didnt play morrowind more then an hour but i think the same races and much classes, also the you can customize like endless appearences on your char... + your own custom classes.
[*]Do you (also like in Morrowind) need to choose a class and a brightsign or has it been renewed? and can you again create your own class?
You mean birthsign? in morrowind none of them were really good right? Now some are really good 2nd question, yes
[*]Is the world as big as Morrowind or is it only in a part of Tamriel?
I dont know how big the morrowind world is but this one is HUGE, the much walking though can be skipped by instant travel, but i think many cities are still to be found...
[*]From how many different types of hosres can you chose? or are they all the same?
I think about 6 different type of horses, aint sure tough
[*]Do you now have female creatures (exept from npc's and skeletons)?
Guess so, but dont know yet..
[*]Do you have an aiming icon like in Morrowind or is it gone?
you have a crossfire in 1st person mode
[*]Are there new types of armor, and is Daedric still in the game?
1st, dont know, 2nd, yes
[*]Is the construction set standard for the PC-version?
You can download it at their site, its only 6MB

For me, the starting dungeon was not so good, after that, it draws you in and you dont wanna do anything else, so if you want to have a social life, dont buy or dl this

anyway, i know the 2 hour way too...but my internet provider doesnt support that.. I aint mentioning that way tough, dunno if thats allowed here...

Ill be playin now

p.s.
things ++: almost everything...
things --: you need a hella good system to run it reasonable, im runnin it at 800x600 AAx2 and shadows and stuff almost off with my ati radeon 9600se (wich is crappy) and i9m gettin around 25 FPS, good enough for me tough...
* unfortunatly books cant open if they fall, windows wont break, bear glasses cant break and attacking fires is done lame but thats, also you cant break things like doors when you attack them (i think) but the rest is A+! I dont care about this.

Ill be really playin now

Nero JB, i dont know if the game supports your graph card, if it does i think you can run the game at 600x400 maybe 800x600 but i dont think so with AA off...

What's the character-interaction like, and what is the main story like? And what do you do in the main story?

Character interaction: in wich way? npcs are talking to eachother, sometimes you hear something you can help with and then you'll ask him...Except for that i think its just a really improved morrowind system, but im not sure what that morrowind system was...

main story: Not doing it yet... Im doing some guild quests and arena fights first...

I cant be of much use with those questions the first is just hard to explain, but it works well.

nero some games i know when i downloaded some demos for first person shooters wouldn't let me play them even though i installed them succesfully because it said my computer lacked the requirements

i doubt others games do that but if Oblivion does i doubt it
you can always overclock your computer, i went to my bios for example and activated my Ai Overclock at max which is 10% so my regular 2ghz processor is now at 2.2 ghz

you might be able to push your 1.8 to 2

there are other ways to overclock as well, ones which im not willing to do
or know enough of to feel safe and confident of

in all honesty im not playing with AA activated, i have all the other graphic options on full blast, and it slows down to a point where it is annoying, i had a friend come over and compare the difference, there really wasn't much of a difference so....i guess all is fine

if any thing

me not having dual core memory or a 3 ghz processor is bottle necking my system

everything still runs great and i still have god like graphics though

......

anyway about that game

the character interaction is different, in that if you click to interact with an npc you zoom and center in on their body and up toward their face and you are given dialogue options to choose which are all voiced over, which is pretty nice

the main quest, so far as i can tell i really can't say much without spoiling it
all i can say is that things you do in the game change things for example

2 farmers are run out of their homes by wolves
you help them by killing the wolves
their house is been abandoned for awhile now and in poor shape

when they move back in eveything is fixed up and they also built a food garden

on my first character i followed the main quest
i can't answer any questions without ruining the greatness

.......

im playing as a imperial knight with the hardest birth sign i think just for added challenge which is the the golem one called Antronach i think

i did join the mages guild and intend on getting all the quests that i can

i clearly can't spell anymore

OK, it seems better than Morrowind.

I will have it home by tomorrow, if I turn it on early it will be home sometime tomorrow afternoon. But I think I finnish off Vampire and my projectwork before I even install it (like I won't install and test it ).

I really 'want' to get it, but my PC probably could never handle it either. 1.8 hz, G-force 5200 FX, 512 RAM.

When I bought the first morrowind years ago my pc couldn't play that, and so I had to bring it back.

It'd be the same now with this new one, only you can't bring PC games back to the shops any more.

Depends on the shop. I believe a small builder could do something about it ... Or you say to him before the buy : "Make it so that Oblivion runs on it!"

Rambus? Isn't that like a myth? And that graphiccard... And does in need mean you're going to buy a new pc soon?
