I've got all the components for the first summoning test (Feynur potion, Kohar root, spider leg, and the wisdom rune) but can't complete the test as it claims I haven't got all the components. Any ideas what? Dropping any or all of them into the summoning circle doesn'tmake any dofference.

IIRC, try to remove from your inventory all roots except kohar root and all runes except wisdom rune... it should help... have you updated to 1.47 version?

I tryed dropping all other roots and runes, but it didn't work. I even tried dropping everything except the required components, but still no luck.

I updated to verstion 1.47 just before I started the summoning tests quest.

I had the same problem - I went up one level, dropped the items there, collected them again, went down to the summoning level again and voilá - it worked out.

Don't know if you tried that already, but you didn't say *where* you dropped the stuff - it did not work for me to just drop it in the summoning room, I guess you have to be a bit away from the place or so. Hope that helps!

The game checks for the items as soon as you walk into the outside door to the first summoning test rooms. Make sure you dropped them outside the room, also make sure that they are all picked up by the HERO, the DK sometimes gives problems with the quest items for this test.

If you ave installed the patch just before the summoning test, quicksave (or save under a different name) your game, then load the newly saved game again. (This changes the saved game to the new version of the patch, so to speak "activating" the patch).

hi,

I got stuck in the same position! Got all the items (Feynur, Kohar, spider leg and wisdom rune) but when I enter the ante-room of the first summoning test, there is no teacher to whom I can give the rune (as mentioned in the walk trough). I dropped all other items my hero and the death night were carrying in the dungeons below (near the two imps), my hero only took the summoning items and I returned to the first summoning room. But no teacher and no chance to summon a creature. When I took the summoning items my quest log did not turn red and when I entered the summoning area i did not get experience points which have been mentioned in other postings in this forum.
I suppose my major problem is the missing teacher.
I went to Beleram in the storage area and talked to him, and I went to the summoning teacher in the north of the academy and talked to him. But they just communicate as if I had no summoning items at all.

What can I do?

Check your mini-map. Are there any green crosses in or near the room which could be the instructor? You did talk to him before to get the quest, correct?

If he got into / through a wall, which can be caused by alt-tabbing out of the game, you may be able to get him back by more alt-tabbing, or by;
Teleporting anywhere (via hex editor)

Do you have any previous saves you can revert to, to get him back without having to redo too much?

hi Raze,

that was great advice! The instructor was in the library south of the summoning room, and when I talked to him, all went well, although he was not present when the summoning took place.
But no the show can go on!
