I am playing through the game a second time, this time as a mage rather than a warrior. The boars were easy to kill as a warrior. As a mage, I am having a heck of a time with them. They seem to be immune to all magic spells and they charge me, back up, charge me, over and over and they come very near to killing me, or do kill me, before I can kill them. Does any magic work on them? I have been trying to kill them in melee - maybe the most effective way for a mage to kill a boar is by using a bow?

Use your melee weapon 2-3x on them then try meteor strike.

odd. I played as a mage and never had a problem with them. Usually used meteor
strike. Do you have the game difficulty set high? Not sure why that is happening to you. Try Kiya's suggestion. Try hellspikes if you have not already.

Yes, this is strange, Reptile. The very first time I met a bee/boar I had to use melee first - after a few strikes the boar/bee could be killed with spells. The next animals of this class were no problem then. As if my mage had to get to know them via melee <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
