I don't know, ask the priest, he noticed "a fresh voice" in the choir, I hope this was a positive thing?

some poems for christmas ....

[color:"pink"] I wanted you to have this
Although it isn't much
A party I would not miss
To get together such

A special group and then
A special time of year
So all of us know when
Our thoughts do gather near

So may your days be filled
Your house and life stay warm
Your punch only stay chilled
And you be safe from harm.

edit: i didn't write this. i got this off the net & i cannot find the credits.

here are some stories, christmas ones. hope u enjoy!

Little Match Seller by Hans Christian Anderson
Christmas At Fezziwig's Warehouse by Charles Dickens
Fir Tree Christmas Story by Hans Christian Anderson

[color:"orange"] Christmas Cheer by Thomas Tusser

Good husband and housewife, now chiefly be glad,
Things handsome to have, as they ought to be had.
They both do provide, against Christmas do come,
To welcome their neighbors, good cheer to have some.

Good bread and good drink, a good fire in the hall,
Brawn, pudding, and souse, and good mustard withal.
Beef, mutton, and pork, and good pies of the best,
Pig, veal, goose, and capon, and turkey well drest,
Cheese, apples and nuts, and good carols to hear,
As then in the country is counted good cheer.

What cost to good husband, is any of this?
Good household provision only it is:
Of other the like, I do leave out a many,
That costeth the husband never a penny.

You give us all that warm fuzzy feeling inside when you wishes us a merry Christmas.
@ Janggut
That christmas story of the match seller is one of my favorites. When I was little I used to cry when the little girl had died, and I always wanted to bring her my shoes. Poor thing

@ Morbo
Haha, that Seinfeld episode sure looks good. Is it on tv right now? Today or tomorrow? Let me know!

@ Plowking
You said it well, it's not what you get it's who you spend it with, well, I'm a lucky girl here, I will spend Christmas eve with my sister in law and her 8 children( ) and the next day, my father will come over with my oldest sister, her husband and their son, my 2 adopted sisters and brother and my godmother. I'm glad to be with my family these days.

I wish you all the same.

ps: if you have read my christmas page on the website, I hope you also read that part about the poor? Please give something warm to eat to them. Or give that coat you don't like anymore, or just a cup hot soup will do. Make someone else happy on Christmaseve. I will be very thankful for that Sorry to bother you again with this message.

Politically Correct Twelve Days of Christmas

On the 12th day of the Eurocentrically imposed midwinter festival, my potential-acquaintance-abuse-survivor gave to me,

TWELVE males reclaiming their inner warrior through ritual drummin

ELEVEN pipers piping (plus the 18-member pit orchestra made up of members in good standing of the Musicians Equity Union as called for in their union contract even though they will not be asked to play a note...)

TEN melanin-deprived testosterone-poisoned scions of the patriarchal ruling class system leaping,

NINE persons engaged in rhythmic self-expression,

EIGHT economically disadvantaged female persons stealing milk-products from enslaved Bovine-Americans,

SEVEN endangered swans swimming on federally protected wetlands,

SIX enslaved fowl-Americans producing stolen nonhuman animal products,

FIVE golden symbols of culturally sanctioned enforced domestic incarceration, (NOTE: after a member of the Animal Liberation Front threatened to throw red paint at my computer, the calling birds, French hens and partridge have been reintroduced to their native habitat. To avoid further animal-American enslavement, the remaining gift package has been revised.)

FOUR hours of recorded whale songs,

THREE deconstructionist poets,

TWO Sierra Club calendars printed on recycled processed tree carcasses.

And a Spotted Owl activist chained to an old-growth pear tree.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit my best wishes for a socially responsible, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practised within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all, together with a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make Britain great, (not to imply that Britain is necessarily greater than any other country), and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual preference of the wisher. By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.
