ok, ive made 2-4 of each class/gender, most i have of one is 4 female survivors, for lockpicking <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />.

anyways, I dunno what to do about Mardaneus after Lanilor asks you to find out whats wrong with him. I already opened the steps under Mardaneus' statue in the middle of town. I went down and found a completely murderous zombie in an urn... I cant figure out what to do when im down there...






And for those who have died to Heavy Orcs in the beginning of the game, I cheated(sorta) my way to killing them. I keep running around pegging em every now and then with a composite bow, works great, if your stamina is at a decent amount. But once, a frickin warrior orc distracted me and the heavy orc murdered me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

make sure you clean out the whole catacombs. there are more levels.

and hit & run tactics aren't cheating <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> except from you enemy's point of view, but who cares about him <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
and about the orcs killing you: boost up your armor with better armor ( <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" />), drink potions or scape with your teleporters (and that again is only cheating from your enemy's point of view ^^)

thanks Raze. I did get to those orcs that want you to find slasher a couple times, never could though...

and as for the teleporters, only gotten to the mage scroll for em on one character... tried to open the one near the Abbey, but i died on the way...

today, ive gotten the second teleporter pyramid, the dwarven scroll, and activated the portals near the dwarven bread in, aleroth, ars magicana, and the dwarven city. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

For Slasher (if you don't want to check the Aleroth link to avoid spoilers) on the second level of the catacombs, about halfway between the entrance and the stairs down to level 3 there are a couple room type areas, one of which contains a tile...

Have you talked to Goemoe since Zandalor told you about the teleporters? The abbey area may be a little tough until you get into the early twenties, or so, for character level.

I went for the second teleporter stone right away. It was a bit of a hectic fight at that level, but having the use of them from the start of the catacombs was very handy.

oi... my survivor is only level 9... and goemoe is still lying, havent helped mardaneus yet...

ok, ive cured mardaneus, but goemoe doesnt say anything when i ask him about the scroll... now what am i supposed to do?
Also, how do i get the elven and human scrolls? or whatever that sword/maul one is...

Did you heal both soldiers in Aleroth? If not, Goemoe will not give you lizard teleporter scroll. However, it only activates one teleporter pad, which is in an area you will not likely need to return to after you have cleared it. That scroll is not needed for the quest to activate the teleporters.

The human scroll you can get by continuing with the escort quest and agreeing to work for the army, or by looting the cursed abbey. The elven scroll you can get from the only elves in the Rivertown area (ie before heading to the Dark Forest).

Goemoe taught me restoration, so yeah, im pretty sure i did get em both, even though i might have forgot on previous characters... and theres elves in rivertown? i didnt see any.. and by working for the army, do you mean bringing the letter to captain matix, or whatever the name is?

There are some elves in the Archers' Guild, in the south-west corner of the Rivertown map, near the entrance to the dark forest.


I assume you are talking about the quest Seth gave you? In that case you have to talk to General Alix, yes.

and I already did the quest Seth wants you to, now Alix wants me to bring a msg to some guy at the southern border of the dukedom... If all i have to do is get the healers for the plague for the human scroll, then what do i do to get it now?

After you deliver the message to Captain Mitox, he will ask you to do a couple of quests for the army, and give you the a human teleporter scroll if you accept.
Once you are officially working for the army (until the 2 quests are completed) you can get into the armoury at General Alix's headquarters and loot the place, including any stuff dropped by orcs during the attack.

as for what to do now, I'm still trying to work my way to the elven scroll...

I have the human, elf, dwarf, and mage scrolls, and goemoe wont say anything to me when i ask him about the lizard one, what do i do about him?

If you have saved Mardaneus and the 2 soldiers in Aleroth, you should just have to ask Goemoe about the teleporter scroll after you talk to Zandalor. He will admit he has it, since you saved Mardaneus and proved yourself trustworthy. After that you can ask for the scroll, and when he asks why you want it, mentioning Zandalor should be enough to get it.

it doesnt say ANYTHING on my mage, but my warrior got it just fine... im confused...

Does your mage's quest log list both soldiers as being helped? If you were switching characters back and forth, maybe you skipped part of that quest with your mage, thinking you had already done it? If you go talk to Mardaneus again, and the soldiers if they are still there, and go through all the speech options does that help any with Goemoe?

didnt try yet, but now im at the succubus in the council chamber on my warrior and it kissed me to death <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />...

AND A FRICKIN IMP STOLE MY PYRAMIDS!!!
