I'm a mage ( I love it!) i went for the basic concept of the battle mage, which worked wonders for me. through out the first 10 or 15 levels or so, i focused the majority of my stats on strength and agility to about 30 (to wield better weapons and armour) after that i started focusing hardcore on constitution and intellect. (also use some skill points on charms, they do wonders) my end results now for my level 42 : 93 strength, 88 agility, 102 constitution, 100 intelligence ( about half of that is because of charms)... for spells... freeze is a must, deadly discs have helped me alot as well, possibly meteor strike or similar spell, restoration (no matter what class, you also find a restoration spell in the sewers of Verdistis), lockpick level 3 is good (as you get 2 levels of it for free throughout quests) and possibly some pick pocket (level 2 worked for me)... you can email me at "chunkyninja69@gmail.com" i'd love to help you as much as i can
