Is it possible to play the game in Windowed Mode? And if so... how?

There is no windowed mode in the game.

It is possible to play DD in a window under Linux (see here; there are updated links and comments further down in the topic). Presumably with the latest English patch removing the Starforce copy protection, it should be possible to do the same with BD.

This seems to be the only topic I can find concering the subject, but is it possible to play DD in window mode on Windows 7? That would be really great!

There is no easy way that I know of to play either DD or BD in a window in Windows. I don't know if any virtual machine programs have good support for DirectX yet (VirtualBox has experimental support for DirectX 8/9), but you could run try running DD under a Win9X / XP / 7 VM in Windows 7.
