One of my favorite elements of Divine Divinity was that it had an almost Diablo-esque variety of items. Is this retained in Divinity 2?

The item system has been improved upon, though we have not gotten much detail yet. There are randomly generated items (with more options than DD had), but it also allows Larian to handcraft specific items (such as set items). Stats, skills and equipment can all influence each other.

Also, don't forget that you can craft your own special items, using charms that you can find in the world, and -- more importantly -- visiting the enchanter in your battle tower (provided you have the required enchantment formula's and ingredients, of course).

So, yes, it's even better than in Divine Divinity horsey

I remember from bd for example the unique type of item, i mean they gave you armor but it also cost you speed, acuracy...etc. It will be in DD2 also?
