I just bought Divine Divinity last week and I really like this game. I just finished the restore Mardeus sanity's quest. I read in a review that this game is kinda short. So will Larian make an expansion pack to extend the game? I don't want a sequel because my computer is only a Pentium 3 550 mhz, 384 megs of RAM and a Nvidia Geforce 3 TI 500 and I don't think my computer would be able to handle a sequel. So I think an expansion pack would be better.

This game... short??? Yeah right... What crazy person would call this game short? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

It took me 6 weeks to finish this game. Ofcourse I actually tried to complete every quest I got.

I have seen 100 hours mentioned as a play time. I didn't keep track, but it is definitely not a short game.

Larian is working on another RPG (supposedly an official announcement and early screen shots may come this month). I have not heard anything about an expansion for Divinity. RPGs don't typically have high system requirements, so hopefully they will not increase the minimum requirements past your system.

Yeah I'm really enjoying this game. I usually play console RPGs and I found Baldur's Gate and Never Winter nights to complicated because there are too many tweaks you have to do to your characters just so you won't get killed in battle easily and they didn't explain the rules enough in the manual. I mean what is 1D3? Or why does better armour=less armour class number? Weird Those games are very hard to get into and I didn't even bother to finish those games.

While diablo was an easy computer RPG to get into it lacked a good story and character interaction.

Divine Divinity the first RPG that I got into and I could see myself finish this game because of its great story and interaction with ease of gameplay.

Well, I thought I remembered the standard superuiser name in BeOS was "Lord Byron". But I was wrong it sounds a bit differently.

1d3 is one die 3 which is actuall a six sided die roll that is divided in half. NeverWinter Nights is a Forgotten Realm setting game so it is drawn specifically from a world created in the Dungeons and Dragons environment and so would use 3rd eddition rules. There are a lot of dice used in D&D. The most common are a ten sided die or 1d10, a 20 sided die or 1d20 and the six sided die (like a yatzhee die or pretty much any other game, six sided is the most common die) 1d6. when you see a notation regarding a die roll you roll that type of die to get your random number.

Oh! Another RPG from Larian? Oh! That is good news indeed! I await it's release anxiously.

Diablo wasn't an RPG.. it was an ACTION game (click click click kill kill kill no dialogue/story whatsoever)

BG 2 was prolly my fav RPG of all times.. was too good

Divine divinity = Diablo + BG2
An ingenious combination of the superb interface of diablo, with the quest and most importantly - dialogue elements of BG

in the latter field, no one competes with BioWare these days IMO, but DD doesn't try to do that.. it has its own style and it's great
