I just switched over to my motherboard audio device instead of my Soundblaster card. 100% stutter free.

That was a problem in Sacred 2 and the Fatal1ty add on sound board. Many people fixed their game issues by going with the built in audio on board as you have stated and disabling the soundblaster add on card.

Thanks for posting that, I forgot about it.

Thanks for the info. That reminds me of a co-worker years ago who had lots of sound and performance problems in a game. He tried several different sound cards, onboard sound, and even borrowed a different motherboard to try. He had a subsequent problem with his original motherboard, and bought a cheap one to get back up fast, and the onboard sound worked fine and all his problems with the game were gone.
Of course I'm not suggesting people randomly replace hardware to see if it helps, but trying to onboard sound is a relatively easy procedure.

I had no problems with my sound.
It was mostly the animations that seemed to "stutter"

I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme.

Were not talking about problems with sound, but video and the jerking freezes.

Sound can play an important role in how your game runs. Damaged audio files, problematic sound hardware, or improper CODEC's can cause game play issues; an add-on soundcard that uses a lot of CPU power to run, can interfere with a CPU intensive game such as Divinity 2. Especially if you have a dual core @3GHz or less.

That's why, as Raze stated, it's easy to go with on-board sound to see if thats part of the problem.
