I think most game dev's and publishers - if they are smart, since there's a huge digital distribution market there - probably want to get their game on Steam.

With Steam, Valve just has that BIG of the digital distribution market on the PC - regardless if you love Steam; hate Steam; or if you moody about Steam; and/or somewhere in-between on whether you love or hate Steam.

There's much more going on behind a ditribution via Staem. For example the whole process of evaluating and making a game fit for that platform.

Of course. Valve/Steam has been known to reject games from joining their platform.

Sad to hear it. But coz there is steam version of original Divinity 2, i hope there will be steam version of FOV/DKS sooner or later. I'm not in a rush after all.
