I find myself playing on different computers these days (somtimes even with different operating systems), and it's a hassle to copy the savegames back and forth. Could you consider giving us the option to change the save game directory ourselves? I guess you could hide it in an .ini file or advanced options menu. The reason why I'd like to change it, is so that I can have it stored on a synced skydrive (Dropbox etc).

I know it's possible to achieve this by making symbolic links, but it would be more convenient if I didn't have to.

Yes, and also to name and/or numbering them as we want. I don't know why lots of games haven’t that option, some ones with automatic numbering system, even automatic naming, or few ‘slots’ to save. All of them are easily avoided by managing manually the folders and making backups but it is an additional and unnecessary job.

If we activate the game with Steam, would we be able to use their cloud system ??

Possibly, but everyone isn't going to use Steam.
