I downloaded the patch (DivEnglish_Hotfix2) to my E drive and when I ran it I got a message "No installation found, yadda yadda yadda)
I moved the entire Divine Divinty folder to my C drive and reran the patch and got the same message.
What must happed for the patch to recognize the install of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />?
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" />

P.S. I have been running on the CD version (1.029?) but my game crashed in the middle of a save and now the save won't load.

The patch is probably looking for the game location in the registry. See having problems installing.

Thanks, Raze.
I'll give that a shot.

Well, Raze,
It didn't seem to apply in my case. Perhaps because I'm using XP Home?
Anyway, I looked in
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CDV Software Entertainment AG\Divine Divinity]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CDV Software Entertainment AG\Divine Divinity\English]
"target folder"="C:\\Programme\\Divine Divinity"
"group folder"="C:\\WINDOWS\\Startmenü\\Programme\\Divine Divinity"
"language"="English"
"version"="1.0"

I didn't have a CDV Software or Divine Divinity directory.
I'm going to just reinstall the program on my C drive.
Thanks for you help! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

This registry file works under XP home; someone tried it and posted in the old forum. Just open the reg file in a text editor and change the default path to the where you installed Divinity.

If you installed it to; "E:\Games\Divine Divinity"

you would change the

"target folder"="C:\\Programme\\Divine Divinity"

line so it read

"target folder"="E:\\Games\\Divine Divinity"
