Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) General Daggers of Rhaan

I hope that Mr Z over at Digital Jesters (The UK publisher) did not get himself in trouble w/Swen when he hinted to us of the Daggers of Rhaan. Please do not be angry! Oh Great God Of Larian! I have more questions though... Is this the content of the demo, to right away meet the new race and perform a quest for them? I am guessing that the daggers are very powerfull, and are needed by the Rhaan to perform a ritual, or have been stolen and need to be retrieved at a great reputation gain for the player. Also what is the message sender? Can we use it on this forum? Very cool sounding! I don't know about everyone else, but all this waiting is making me even more "Insane"! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/alien.gif" alt="" />

I got the impression this 'hunt for the Daggers of Rhaan' was part of the planned promotion, a game or contest before the release of Riftrunner. I'd guess the message sender was basically a secret decoder ring, to convert to and from the rune language. Due to the 'sender' part, it may have email or IM like capabilities.

that would be cool. a IM thing for forum peolpe.

I am wondering how long our Larians will let us speculate. Granted we are getting our peeks, but I personally want to know how they are implimented.
1)When is the Beta gonna be performed?
2)Is the Beta gonna be local, or will it be performed worldwide on a # of very different systems? Via download?

The message sender was mentioned in the topic D.J. FORUM, though no other information was provided.

I assume that the message sender is just what it sounds like. A person types normally and the words are transformed to runes, or some other type of code. Then that message can be sent. I think Mr Z is right when he said we will be having alot of fun with it! BTW, I was just kidding about the NOCANO words! LOL!
