I am sorry but I don't know how to search for this, I am in the vampires cave to save the boy & when the vampire attacks I know it normal for the hud at the bottom of the screen to disapper and all I can do is wait but now it seems like it is stuck at the point after the vampire leaves my character everything stops. I can still see my Character move as if I was NOT on pause but I can't do anything. I deleted all in the dynamic folder but I now have XP instead of 98 and cant find the run folder. Please helppppp.

It sounds like the cut scene is not finishing properly. Try running the configuration program and switching to software mode (this helps with some cut scene problems), and maybe reduce the resolution, until getting past that point.

The default install path is 'C:\Program Files\Divine Divinity'. You can right click on the short cut to Divinity and select properties to see the path to the program, in case you changed the install path under XP.

In Windows XP

Click the Start button, Programs, Accessories, Windows Explorer,
in the left side

click and open My Computer, Local Disk(C: -or what ever letter it is), Program Files, Divine Divinity and there is the 'run' folder.

Thanks Raze the target path is "C:\Program Files\Divine Divinity\Run\div.exe" & the start in path is "C:\Program Files\Divine Divinity\Run" should I change the target path to C:\Program Files\Divine Divinity'

The configuration has always been Software - 640x480 - and smothness is checked.

Thanks to you goldylocks I found the run folder & deleted all in it, now I will try to play again but I will check back to see what Raze wants me to do Re the path.

"should I change the target path"

No, that is fine. The install program puts everything important in the 'Run' subfolder of 'Divine Divinity', with just miscellaneous links and text files in the 'Divine Divinity' folder, as well as 'Misc' and 'Uninstall' subfolders.

"I found the run folder & deleted all in it"

I hope you meant all of the files in the '..\Run\Dynamic' folder.

Yes I opened the files & deleted what was in it. I did a very stupid thing, when I was writing to you about this. I did ctrl c & ctrl v to cut and past the path to you & it moved it to my letter to you. It said it couldnt find the path or something like that & wouldnt start the game so I reloaded the game & started all over. Oh well live & learn I always say. Thanks for all your help Raze I am learning more & more avery time I post on this forum.
