Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems Game crashing on first load screen

I've been paying to steam divinity original sin 2 tech page about this but figured I'd post here as well.

Long story short, need internet to play game otherwise it crashes.

Since I can't get any reply on my ticket can I at least get something from a dev here? I don't always have internet access yet without it I can't play. Not right.

You are most likely out of luck, have not seen a dev react to any of the game breaking bugs. They seem to have a very bad customerservice policy at Larian studios. If they do react they will refer you to the FAQ thread on the forum. That is how far I got with getting support.

Sounds about right. I have 2 open tickets with them and I haven't heard anything

Still have this problem if larian cares to let some help. Just sayin.

I'm on GOG, so my solution may not work on Steam.

All my saves caused a CTD
Rolling back to the previous patch fixed the issue

The last two patches

Loaded, but my charaxter vanished, even though companions were there, only the blue pyramid remained.

So I've rolled back to the last working patch for this playthrough. and not updating until I'm done.

Thanks but to my understanding they disabled the roll back option on steam. Last time I was able to play the game it was still happening. It gets to the loading screen just after the thanks to backers screen and the ctd. Haven't been able to play since because my data limit was at its limit. Nothing like a single player game that came be played unless online. Feels like wasted money at this point.
