It's pretty obvious that interdimensional travel exists both in DOS2 and BG3's universes. So why not explore a scenario where to great Evils collide when yet another hole is ripped into the Space-time continuum?

How things like Source might play a role I'll leave to you all for speculation.

P.S. How many of these holes in reality do you think have occurred in video-games as a whole?

im fairly sure voidwoken dont have a brain.

If they have hearts in theur bodies then I'm pretty sure they have brains.
Though such statements are the point of this thread after all because it's such a big topic that getting an answer right away would be impossible.

Personally my gut tells me that it would be a stalemate.

Voidwoken unless the Mind Flayers get hold of nautiloids

I don't even know what a Voidwoken ARE (never played DOS2), but if it might be complicated. I think the Mindflayers are lead by this Absolute and who knows what that is.

They're just space caterpillars.

Caterpillars turn into Butterflies, what do these turn into?

Bigger, nastier caterpillars. With long teeth.

They also have a penchant to insulting you and your companions in the middle of the fighting. They are as mean as disgusting.

Into bugs like in Starship Troopers.

basically voidwoken are just souls of a previously living race that infests random animals and mutates them into monsters.
Also their blood is cursed.
so a voidwoken can be anyhitng. Most of them are formed from marine animals but a variety of them are also insectoid.

Sometims you also run into Bears or Deer that ate source infused food and turn into skinless monstrosities

Think purple worm size caterpillars.
