Any opinions on the contents of the Humble D&D book bundle?

It contains the series:
Legend of Drizzt (1-13 of 36), plus a short story anthology
War of the Spider Queen (all 6)
The Lady Penitent (all 3)

I have yet to try a Salvatore book that didnt suck me in completely. I just read the latest Homecoming trilogy w/ drizzt and they were amazing as always. I have only read one or two out of this bundle but I can almost guarantee any of Salvatores work as worth a read. Also the Highwayman series is worth a read also from Salvatore.

In my humble opinion, Drizzt is the greatest D&D character ever created and every single Drizzt book I literally can't put down once I start reading.

There was a humble D&D bundle for 3D printer files the other week. Bought in anticipation of getting a 3D printer.

I am one of those people who never really liked Salvatore. He always came off as "Fantasy Dean Koontz" to me.

I`m rereading the dark elf trilogy and I can say that the books aged well. Kinda nostalgic see how the FR were in the 2000s

How many D&D books have you read? I'm not a Drizzt hater, I'm getting his new book in July, and his books are fun, he's good at battle porn, and he doesn't give into neovictorian trends right now, but there better FR characters in my honest opinion.

Drizzt isn't even the most interest Drow character, heck he isn't even the nost interest Drow character in RA Salvatore's novels, his dad, Jarlaxe, and Yvvonne (the younger), and a few others are more interesting.

Cool. It's an opinion.

Yep, don't get wrong though, I'm not some who falsely accuses Drizzt of being emo, I actually find Drizzt to be an optimist most of the time.

Personally, I don't do ebooks, I prefer printed books.

Thank you, everyone.

I prefer printed books, as well, but have a bunch still in boxes from the last time I moved, partly for lack of space (I could make room if I had time to re-read anything). My brother's wife is in a book club and really likes her Kindle, and a while ago my brother and I got one as a gift for our mother. Since then I've bought a few Humble book bundles, some for my mother and some myself, though have not borrowed the Kindle to try reading anything yet.

An e-reader is nice. You can take it almost anywhere, have your entire book collection with you. I have a Nook. As for the Humble bundle. I don't hate Drizzt, I just find it hard to get into RA Salvatore's style of writing. I may consider buying the bundle, at least the 1 dollar one to just try and read his novels again to see if I might get into them. My taste about onions and broccoli have changed since I was a kid.

What an e-reader lacks in charm, it makes up for with functionality.

Oh, I agree that an e-reader has functionality and more convenience over regular books. I have read over 98% of DragonLance & Forgotten Realms hardcopy books and for me it's nice to sit down and read 200-300 pages of a story with wanting more.
