There's "asking for an Italian version" and there's the relentless pettiness of insulting the developers and the community representative over and over ("Pagliacci", "fate schifo" etc), making up spurius claims about an illicit being committed ("false advertising") and overall being INCREDIBLY petty and whiny and wording dissatisfaction in the form of some sort of blackmail ("I'm going to pirate the game because X"), of which both this thread and the Steam forum had plenty.


I brought up the term that perfectly described the type of obsessive-compulsive, petty, whinyand socially-stunted attitude I was witnessing.

I would have bought the game even without Italian but after your CEO announced a total text translation (and ipotized even a dubbed one) and you just simply ignore the interview even exists i cannot se you as a company of competent professionals.
our community has shown interest in your product (twice actually) and right now d:os and d:os2 has italian traslation as selling point on steam marketplace: a selling point that your company had for free from a group of real passionate people.

i will not buy the game without a regular paid italian translation: you can live a good life without my money e so do i without your games

The only word close to an actual insult (words addressed to you apart) I put on the table was "DONALD DUCK", and it was on a sarcastic questioning form.
You tell us we are authistic saying it like it was an insult. What if I tell you I am actually diagnosed with asperger's sindrome? Think about being dialectically annihilated by an asperger man.. maybe when you insult people using authism it turns out that actually the sentence is more insulting for you and your tiny little neurotipic brain than it can be for me or for more for "kennerian" autistic people. But still, the fact that you show your intellectual misery without being banned or suspended from the discussion is another sign of mismanagement by Larian. It became "false advertising" in a way actually, if you consider Steam and GOG platforms reported Italian language being supported (even if they putted it on by mistake) and so it's deeply unethical. People bought new machines to handle their game (yeah yeah, nobody forced them to do so) but mostly important it's about trustiness which, togheter with the lack of communication regarding this issue (not a single post everywhere? are you kidding? if you change plans about a project you have to make it know to everyone about your decisions) got lost.
A corporation if wants to still stand and keep its business going on must rely on its image, if you loose it you will start to loose profits in the long run.

Not that the accusation of false advertising would actually hold any water legally even in a case the change would came later, anyway. At best it would give full right to ask a refund.
