After I installed BD I've had problem with config screen.
Ewery time I try to start game and config screen pops up for first time and I try to "test" settings I get "cant load slash1.dll" error and if I just continue with out testing game gets unknown error and wont start.

I have tryed reinstalling few times (even with closing almoust every "not usefull" brogram) with no help at all.

I'm not sure but can it effect if I have also DD and it has slash1.dll file etc... (havent try uninstalling DD and I'm not near my own computer right now)

Well, I did load new NVIDIA drivers and uninstalled DD & BD and then reinstalled BD and I still get "cant load slash1.dll" error on config and cant start the game because of that...

Well, I'll just try still few thing and if thow dont help or anyone cant tell any advice that whould help. If anythig dont help I think I'll just return my game to shop.

On my previous PC, I have had that very same problem with the demo.
I solved it by using later nvidia drivers.
But it is best to follow the careful procedure:
1) uninstall driver
2) use standard SVGA driver
3) use any utility to wipe out remnants of previous nvidia driver (see guru3D site)
3) install new nvidia driver.

Good luck.

WEll... only problems I have had with this comp. has been with only some DOS games from late 80's - early 90's as my dos is too "new" to run them.
And few starting problem with morrowind but thows have been helped with shutting down some programs witch is not the problem now...

Just a though? could it be that my cd is corrupted and it cant download slash1.dll correctly? (really doupt it )

Ok, so post your computer specifications and what windows you are running. Also, run dxdiag. Go to start->Run...-> and enter "dxdiag", and run the test. See if you run into any problems there.

It COULD be a CD thing, but I don't think that's true, unless it has dust or scratches on the surface.

BTW: I trust you have patch version 1.44 downloaded and installed, right?

Don't like the sound of that. Try reinstalling DirectX. I'm starting to run out of ideas...

Though I'd like to mention that Windows ME is possibly the worst version of Windows ever. Still, BD should work in ME if everything is right.

hhmm... I reinstalled DX and I still get message that I'm missing thows files.
(onlything I got from reinstal was about 200+ "windows cant upgrade file %1 from folder %1; %2 %1" errors before windows restarted)

And it didnt help on slash1.dll error either....

So I just think that I'm taking this game back to shop and reconsiderin buying it back again when I got tons of money to buy new computer... (not gona hapen soon)
