now i could have sworn 2 dollar bills went out of print in the 70ts er sumthing. but i just got one, looked on the year and it says 1995. anyone know when they when out of print? maybe the Gov started making them again? i dunno.

they still make them, but i think you have to specially request them from the bank.

I had also thought they were out of print...like I've said a million times..you learn something new almost every day.

The 2 Dollar bill is still legal tender and printed by the BEP. The $2 has never circulated much. Kind of like the Anthony/Eisenhower/Sacagaewa dollar coin. Dollar coins only work if you quit printing the $1 bills. 2 dollar bill confuse you counting change and therefor they don't circulate. Someplace I have a 2 Dollar bill stamped with a jefferson stamp a first day issue from 1976.
