oh. doh...

on the menu, click larian studios, then Beyond divinity demo, then DAMN, I deleated the demo from my computer.

but there should be a config area <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> click on it.

i recal getting 61, i think, maybe!

BTW, frames per secound.

its strange.
pc gamer always listes those for top games.

and some like Unreal tournament 2003 are always 200k or so, while halo is only 38 or 41! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

UT2003 is making used of the graphic cards capabilities therefore the framerate..

Halo if i rememeber correctly, uses a lot of ur CPU and RAM, so i guess that explains ur low FPS

yup, mainly upgrading the video card will suffice to greatly improve the gaming experience. or adding TONS of RAM memory.

I can't wait till I get my hands on my new PC late this year with a PCI express gfx card

well it seems pci express gonna be the next big wave for graphic card industries..

with MS backing it up.. i dun see why it cna't be the best... btw.. only longhorn supports it natively..

so basically.. we will need to change motherboard, change graphic card and OS..

might as well get everything new.. and i tot my 9800XT will last me for more than a year :P

PCI express will replace both PCI and AGP.

The parallel PCI bus is an 10 year old technology (that is a very long time in the computer world) that somehow stuck. It is actually the bottleneck speedwise in modern computers: chip producers (Intel) are delaying the release of their next generation chips (4GHz+) since it makes no sense increasing the chip speed if the PCI bus is the actual limit. I guess the same applies to those who make graphic cards.

Intel and Nvidia are collaborating for the next generation graphic cards, which will likely use PCIExpress X 16 which can reach an 8 Gigabyte bandwith.

you can see it when you run the configuration tool. i don't know where you can see it in the game. i have 61 frames per second (fps) in 1024*960 with FSAA on and 65 fps with FSAA off.
