Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems game dont starts after install

hi after i tried out at weekend the demo(also didnt startet) i bought in good remmember of divine divinty the full game now i installed and at runing install i got first error cause a unread file in directx then when runned config also error msg(diffrent ones each time) and when i start game first the copyprotect reads the disc and that was it nothing hapens anymore.

my pc is an athlon 2400mhz+
756mb ddram
dvd rom lite on
cd-rw lite on
geforce mx 440 with latest grafik drivers
and win xp with all updates

my pc runs very stabile since over an year and all games working fine this is first time i have such probs so PLS FIX it otherwhise i go back to store and pic up my cash.

cause i whant help on anyway i can get it i spended 45 € on a game that not runz on my pc no mater what i do.

Why (if you are German) did you not post in German, when you posted in English, on the German speaking area.

Then why did you post in two different areas?

And posting German in the German area would help you alot faster, I'm afraid.

In this case, the English version of the game has not been released yet. In general, English sections of forums may have more participants and so faster help, but many of the people here are not familiar with the copy protection problems that have cropped up (there are some people who visit both the English and German forums, though).

Lews wasn't saying you were doing anything wrong, just asking why you would post in English both forums (I assume easier to cut and paste than type it twice), when posting in German in the German forum would probably reach the most people familiar with that version of the game.

What I recogised was that I wasn't able to start BD while my control panel monitor ( a 190/900 dial up warner ) was running. So may be you've got some programms running in the background whitch you should switch of and try again.
just an idear!
BTW: I got this direct x massage as well but got a graphic chip problem anyway. So i solved it by installin an other graphic driver.

Wie auch immer..

Ich habe festgestellt das ich BD nicht starten konnte wenn mein DFÜ Monitor gelaufen ist ( so etwas wie ein 0190/099 Warner ). Vielleicht hast Du ja auch irgend ein Programm noch im Hintergrund laufen, dann stell es mal ab und versuch es noch ein mal. Nur so eine Idee.
Am Rande: Den DirectX Fehler hatte ich auch, hatte aber generell ein Grafickchip Problem gehabt und nach einer Treiberneuinstallation hat es dann funktioniert.

So, wer wills jetzt noch auf spanisch oder französich? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
