Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Trading skill?

Does anyone know what it is supposed to do or if it is a broken skill. It does not change prices so I cannot really see of what use it is?

You can haggle with this skill => offering less money and look if the trader accepts.

We all love a good haggle. Though with nearly unlimited funds, what's the use spending skillpoints on it?

Though I suspect the Larians will be changing the availability of cash, since it renders some of their skills obsolete, currently.

I personally think the sheer lack of available skill points renders many of the skills obsolete - but that's just me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

If so, I'm sure another faction of as-yet-unheard-of fans will arise to complain about the drop in gold availability.

Well you can count me in the ones that would complain. I think that the money amounts in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> are just perfect. In <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> early in the game I found myself starving (for portions) and wishig to have some more money. And since I hate to cheat, I died so many times that I lost count. And one more thing : Money is very usefull to unlearn skills. I don´t know what I would have done with the broken skill of lockpick in which I did the mistake to invent 2 skillpoints! Untill is fixed I would have only two choices : Either to start all over or play with 2 skillpoints less. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

I agree with Lucretia.

The cost of unlearning skills that have become useless is often prohibitive, and at the very least I think most of us will need/want to unlearn two or three skills over the course of the game.

I don't think drastic reductions in the amount of available cash is a great idea for this reason.
