I have patched this game through 1.44. I am in Act III and have been to the Raanaar camp in the Crystal Forest and am now in Serricks Castle. Half the quests from the Raanaar Rebels didn't show up on my quest log and I just got a quest to fix the teleporters from Serrick and it is not in my quest log.

Yes, missing Raanaar quests are: "Raanaar Goddess Statue" and "destroy Seeing Stone", right? Larians are looking into this. The others show up in my case. Are you missing more? You will get the XP (was like this in the case for 1.42 - but miss rep.)

Serrick => this has been strangely all the time like this => "Strange teleportations" show up as soon as you have killed the EA responsible for it. Larians are looking into this. IIRC, still no XP, but 5000 ranking XP and reward (gold) are already there.

Yes those are the ones. I finished the Teleporter quest for Kerrick and got the XP I guess. Went back to tell Kerrick and he wasn't there which I assume is the way it is supposed to be.

Oh, dear these 2 rebel quests have changed => no XP, no rep. But you have the rune and the skill book as I have now, right?

Got the skill book. Not sure about the rune. I'll have to go back to look for him after I finish with the Necromancer. I just beat Kiya and got transported. The only Raanaar quest I have left in my Diary is Urn with Ashes and I'm not sure where that is I'll probably find it in the Temple if I ever get there.

Hmm, did you get the old cheese for the Vermin curse? Look around there.

You must have got the rune - was in the hole, together with the statue.

Are you saying that the Ashes were in the warehouse where the cheese was? Hmmmm
I'll have to go back and look.

My quest log is not working right. I did the killed an assassin quest and it's still listed on my log as active. I returned the amulet to the Mercenary and saved so that I could not tell him and tell him both and the quest stayed in my log book as unfinished both ways. When I told him about the curse I didn't get anything and he acted like he didn't have the amulet and when I would click on him he would ask me if I had the amulet yet. When I didn't tell him I had to fight him and got more rewards but the quest is still listed as unfinished.

Right now I am in the Temple Catacombs and don't even have an entry about a current quest other than the doll which has been my quest for the entire chapter.

English version 1.44:
"Kill an assassin" => is correct in my log - I got 2x XP. 40176 for killing Groblar and 25296 for turning Groblar's offer down to kill Sigurd ("kill your employer". Did you report to Sigurd afterwards? Gave 2400 gp and 1500 ranking XP. -1 rep is the same.

English version 1.42: (have to solve a few others until I can verify this for 1.44)
"merchant wants amulet", gives 47616 XP. I gave the correct answer to the ghost, got his warning and passed this on to the merchant. There is a minor glich though => the merchant "gives" you this quest again.

"Entering the catacombs" => should be green in your log (in earlier version 47616 XP, now 0 => have to verify this)
"Trapped inside catacombs" shoudl be green in your log => please, check both. In both cases, you're in the catacombs, so the quest is finished.(always 0 XP)

So far I have watched this in a few cases => you get XP, but they don't flutter up and you have to check your XP stats with a calculator. So far only in Act 3.

Kiya, this doesn't effect my game or the play I'd just like to know what quests I have and what quests I've finished. I unchecked the filter quests log and it does show my entry into the catacombs as complete.

I killed both assassins so I guess I was supposed to not kill the guy who gave me the quest and maybe that's why the quests is still listed as unfinished. There should be an item for failed quests or something.

The Merchant's amulet is just broke for me. Whether I tell him the truth or not the quest stays there and I think I get more stuff by not telling him.

Didn't check the XP but it's too late to go back now.

Oh well, I'll be in Act IV soon. Hope the diary works better.

ah, now I know => as you "didn't" have an assassin honour (accept quest from A and then accept quest from B as well) => ended up in your result.

And it does affect my game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> - if I have blue quests in my log and can't finish them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> (XP junkie). So far I noticed in act 3 the largest differences between German and English version.

And my XP in Act 4 => log diary works better then. But I'd like to hear, if you have a different result. Thre's only one quest buggy in the log (English version 1.42). Hope, that's fixed, when I reach it.

Another missing quest;

the quest for the imps that are after the human and want you to get the weapon for them is not listed as well ...

Too bad there's so many bugs... these shouldn't have been in the final game !

Sigh; another one that doesn't show up in the log:

not far SE from the Army Camp (General Bram) there's a site with lots of slaughtered Rhanaar. One of the Rhanaar bodies carries a note and on picking that up, the quest icon glows red, yet no quest entry...

And another;

Those rhanaar that are stuck because of the teleporters going bezerk. No quest here either.

Raanaar note => was solved as soon as you picked it up. Look at your entry, it's in the green section. If you see the book glowing adn find nothing in the blue section, just switch to all (solved) => then you'll see <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

"Strange teleportations" => Teleporter quest shows up, as soon as you have killed the creature responsible for it. => I agree in this case, comes too late. And doesn't go into completed state (turns green) - this one is buggy indeed. But you get reward, ranking XP and +1 rep.

If this comforts you => the larians are working on Act 3 log entries -and Act 4 only has one buggy entry.

"Find weapon for imps/Kill Oren" is a combined quest => this one showed up in the German version. I think, the entry was taken out, because one part was disabled ("kill imps") - but not sure.

Thanks for the reply. I am working around it (making a lot of notes on the map).
Still think such bugs should not be in a release version.

Ah well, other than that, I am enjoying the game (although I leave the Bf for what they are) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Gakkie, about the Raanaar note again => this is no quest, there is a pendant in a human corpse, giving you a hint for a quest item. I believe this: the Raanaar note may have been a planned quest, taken out in release version. Both "quests" have never given any XP, so you didn't miss anything.

Just take care, when you're in the rebel camp and make notes - there are indeed some, not showing up anymore. In case you wonder => I have played the game in German version until 1.3 and then started the English variation, to see differences.

you do - how will you get the gem otherwise then? In my games => the enemy gave the gem and turned hostile, as it lost its intelligence. Or did you use pickpocket? never tried that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

how do you get into the building to get the old cheese? i haven't reached a point where the door can be unlocked. all i have left for chaos quests is Kiya in crypts, meanwhile, i haven't completed any of the Raanar quests yet. currently went to battle fields.
