Since i am aware that some external programs may cause problems with games, please let us know

what version of Windows you are running (like, 98 , ME, 2000, XP and also if it is russian or english)

what translators you have installed (sometimes they cause problems, so let us know which ones are installed and running)

what other programs are installed (you can see the list of programs in "control panel" in "add / remove programs"

Try to run this program "end it all" before you start the game.
Information on "End it All"
This program will close all programs running, including the ones you dont see. Test if this solves the problem.

I am not in anyway related to or employed by Larian, but for them to find the problem, they need to know EXACTLY what programs you have, what windows, what language programs, etc.

Here is some news about the method found by Kollega (I described it
here). He said it does not remove the crash completely. But game crash in the skill selection screen becomes rare bug and the ways of avoiding it work well in this case.

Russian TechSupport writes that does not understand as removal of a symbol "·" helps, except for that at game there are lot of bugs which strongly prevent to enjoy game. Please make the patch as soon as possible.

Well, I had bought this game yesterday, so it crashed down for 2 times. One time was, when I tried to set a new skill (exactly: when I clicked "Apply").
I had started the game again, loaded a saved game, and I set a skill successfully.

After 5 minutes I had decided to start a new game, of course I clicked "New game". After a moment, a process of loading was approaching to the end... and the game crashed again.

Sometimes when I try to save a game, the game gives its own message (!!!) that an error occurred during saving to the hard drive.
I have no problems with my hard drive. It is new and I've checked its surface (just to be sure)... No errors.
