I was wondering if anyone has played through the whole game?

I received this game for Christmas and found I required a better graphics card then I had. Got that and started to play the game. It was good and I enjoyed it, while I was still in act 1 I reached a point where I was to find an embassador, went off to find him or her and found a bard, who could join the group. Grabbed him and tried to carry on, well that is where my problems stared the game will not load so that I can go to the Old Well.

Tried Obsidian's web site refers me back to Atari. Atari is moving and will not be around for a period of time. They 7-10 working days.

Been frustatred with Atari and espically Obsidian. Try Obsidian's web site and they DO NOT have a help section, if you want to goto the forum you are shuffled of to Bioware (Great Company) who did NWN's 1 (great game).

Well I could ramble on more but just needed to say that at the present time no new updates or even contacts are available from the writers or the publisher. Scary.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill, because they pissed me off.

Try joining and posting here. While I don't play NWN, I am a long time participant at The Basin, and the folks there tend to be mature, helpful and often tech savvy. Maybe you can get some help.

The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?

Hmm best bet is to search OR ask at the Bioware forum for NWN2> NWN2 forum
Aside from that make sure you are up to date in your patches ( from memory I think the latest is 1.03.840 not counting the 1.04Beta)
If you are having problems with the patches and auto loader please check the NWVault for a manually nwn2patcher and use google or thieves.net to download the patches which are in rtp format.

And yes it is worth it I have finished the game twice now and am already thinking of another character build

But hey you got any questions don't hessitate to ask and please check the NWvault under NWN2 > UI this brings along some wonderful User Interface modifications and last but not least Have FUN!!!

hmm for the first time I went Aasimar Paladin as that seemed to fit the story, the second run thru I made a strongheart Halfling Wizard Eldritch Knight.
Str - 15(18)
Dex - 14
Con - 10
Int - 18(20)
Wis - 8
Cha - 8

01 - WIZ - Luck of Heroes
02 - WIZ
03 - WIZ - Practiced Spellcaster (via console)unless you have downloaded the Mod from the Vault
04 - WIZ - (STR)
05 - WIZ - Extend Spell
06 - FTR - Weapon Focus: Longsword, Craft Wonderous Items
07 - FTR - Power Critical
08 - EK - (STR)
09 - EK - Craft Magical Arms and Armour
10 - EK
11 - WIZ
12 - EK - Empower Spell, (STR)

14 - EK
15 - WIZ - Maximize Spell
16 - EK - (INT)
17 - EK
18 - EK - Toughness
19 - WIZ
20 - EK - (INT)
And yes once I forget the story a lil bit more I am thinking of a Lawful Good Monk .. (as I am basicly a goodietwoshoes)whyat race I dunno yet but hey maybe I stay original and pick an Elf

I envy those of you who can play NWN2. My computer doesn't have the processing power or graphics card that Gamespot says NWN2 requires.

At least I can still enjoy the first NWN.

Oh, and Eldritch Knight sounds like an interesting class. I'd like to know more about it if you're willing to explain it to me, MeaCulpa.

i was going to offer you a site that offered the minimum specs and that would test your computer but it seems it doesn't exist anymore.... guess they took it down

but anyway i noticed you guys happen to be talking about nwn2

my personal favorites are half-elves and humans

but i was playing a wood elf at some point
but the design for the armor in the helmets makes their ears stick through them
kinda bugs me....so i play the 2 above

anyway did anyone try a build with 1 sorceror/4 fighter/ 10 red dragon mage/ 5 neverwinter nine?

if it doesn't work out and im missing a puzzle piece let me know in advance before i get to far

also i was playing with a cleric a while back with the spheres animal and death
just to get the animal companion that advances in level just as you

and it says that your "shadow" creature summon is supposed to advance in level too
but it doesn't

I tested this up to lvl 4.....so yeah

and i find it annoying to tell my compaions/ summons to fight the creatures nearest to me..... it seems they always lag behind my never ending fight through swarms of enemies as i cut a path....

This is SpArTa!! oh im sorry, I must have took a wrong turn..somewhere...(runs away)

hmm have a look here!
this is the standard WotC D&D explanation not "quite" the same as NWN2 but close as is possible, taking video game restrictions in consideration.

Hmm I found the easiest way was to use Khelgar as the driving force, and had him shout (global) to "guard me" since I kept him as a pure fighter, the rest then followed and did the various buffs automatically, presuming you have "puppet mode " turned off.

Hope this helps a little ... as I said don't hessitate to ask ... I am here at least once a day

What are your system specs???

The game's requirements are STIFFER than Oblivion.

Did you try reinstalling the game?

Or updating to the new hot-fix patch 1.04 yet???

Yeah, Obsidian decided that to make it easy on NWN 1 gamers, they'd have their NWN2 boards on Bioware's site.

You should know this: Obsidian's people frequent the Bioware NWN2 boards.

If I was you, I'd stick around there.

Get the new hotfix patch 1.04.

1.05 should be coming soon....

And 1.06 is already in the works.

1.06 is now in Beta.
So, 1.06 Final should be coming eventually....
