Just started this game about a week ago. I love it so far. Playing my mage as a necro, I discovered that you can get a bit more xp by killing the same monsters again. If you resurrect them and then teleport to your home base, when you go back they will be hostile again. So you can rekill them and get more xp and gold. You can only resurrect for a short time after a battle. It probably only works as long as you don't sleep before you go back. Have not tested that part yet. There is no limit on how many times you can kill the same monsters this way.
For this reason, even if you don't play necro, it may be worthwhile to buy a spell book for resurrect. Or you may find an item that has it. SInce I specilize in necro mine will be maxed of course.

At some point I will probably do a thread on a necro build. Its an easy build and fun. Strength and Agility are not necessary at all. My charactor is level 21 and only has 25 str and 20 agility. I am currently clearing the sewers under the northen most town on the map. Forgot its name.

Resurrected creatures will also turn hostile if you run away a bit and return, though teleporting is usually faster (if your home base / other teleporter is in the same map area).

There are several level bonuses in the game, and a couple times I used this technique to make sure I went up a level before getting the level bonus (to maximize the experience points received).
In general, it works best if you use this on a fair sized group of opponents (perhaps lizards in the Verdistis sewers or Dark Forest, which have a small chance of dropping a gold charm when killed), or a strong opponent that always drops something when defeated (though gold / loot is easy enough to come by later in the game). I has this skill maxed from purchased spell books before I got around to trying it out (in Iona's dungeon, with one of the guardians beside the three pyramids and the teleporter pad).

There was a post in the old forum about resurrected monsters that did not die when your character slept, which might come in handy for a necro character. That person brought such creatures to his home base, and either Banished them or cast Aura of Command on something else (don't recall) to leave them there.
The skeleton summoner from under the warrior's guild was one example, though it is very over-powered. It starts summoning at the sight of hostile creatures, and the resulting skeleton army can quickly overwhelm the opposition.
IIRC the dragon rider that Zandalor kills and Shrimpo also do not die when your character sleeps.

Are you in the Verdistis sewers, or Ars Magicana? If you are in Verdistis, Finnigan in the Ducal inn cellar has a quest for you. From you agility, it doesn't appear you have done this quest yet...

Ahh the Dragon Rider. Didn't realize he could be resurrected 14 levels after he was killed. Good info. You have to be careful with him, he seems to go after everything, cows chickens etc. So I don't bring him near NPC's Another oddity about the Dragon rider, is you can't bring him through the teleport pads, perhaps the stones still work for him. Also he does not revert back to hostile when you leave the area like an average game monster. He also has very good site and will roam all over the place. He is better for confined areas.

With the normal monsters they will die when you sleep if they are under your command at the time. If I have 5 monsters under my command, what I do is cast skeletal wall and then place those 5 skeletons under my command which releases the monsters from my command. Though they are still freindly until I leave area. But if I don't take them with they will revert to hostile. So its best not to have your home base near NPC's in this case, else don't leave them in town.

The engineer can also be resurrected. He won't fight for you unless you place him under command.
