Does this sound familiar. You have 37 minor life potions and 28 minor mana potions and you click 28 times to make 28 restoration potions. It would be a great feature if there was an option to mix all available minor potions into restorations ones.

Don't get me wrong, love the game. Its just little things like this that to me make it feel more like work than a game.

Thought I'd just mention it, it may have been brought up before. Of course Larian is on other projects now, but if its Divinity2, it will likely have potions again, so this would be nice to have.

My other minor point is in regard to item drops. It has become typical of almost all games now to have the best items be uniques. Sword of the Gods for instance, that is always found in the same place. I prefer getting the best items from random drops so as to keep the excitent going throughout. The only point of the item drops from monsters seems to be to trade for gold. I think it defeats the purpose of drops if its just to trade for gold, then it gets to be a routine like mixing the potions. The real quest then becomes traveling to 6 npc's to find someone who has enough gold to trade with.

Another thing is I have a level 35 charactor with 45 unused bonus points and 28 or 29 unused skill points. This is an indication that the game is not challenging. Like I said I love the game concept. But after I get the nice equipment I am asking myself what I need the equipment for?

What overwhelmed me was what order to do the quests and who I need to see to get a quest or which dialoge not to pick to break a quest. After restarting and talking to as few people as possible in order not to have 20 quests started in my log and feel the the quests are the best part of the game. Though they could be set up not to be so strict that you need to do things in a specific order or otherwise they won't get completed. FOr example the Dr. Elrath quest. If you don't speak to farmer so and so then the orc won't be in the cave, than the note won't be there or the key or whatever. Why can't you do the quest by going to the cave first?

I have heard that these quests are suppose to be non-linear but they mostly are linear. Yes you can do the various quests in a differnet order but each individual quest has to be triggered by a very specific interaction, otherwise you never get the quest or the quest fails. That part is a bit frustrating.

I still give the game an A- which was my initial impression. I have never even been to the wastelands but all I have heard is the game falls down a bit at the end. really I see it as a bonus. The game could very well have ended when the coucil of seven was brought together.

If you place the stacks of potions right beside each other in your inventory, you can go through a stack fairly quickly, though an option to mix all would be handy.

Most of the equipment I used throughout the game was from random drops, though I did end up with the dragon armour and holy sword / sword of the gods.
At least with one handed swords, you can get better damage with random drops or merchant inventories (I vaguely recall a damage range reported of about 76 - 110 or 115) than you can with unique swords that are always in the game (71-100).

Have you increase the game's difficulty level?

For the Elrath quest, if you go to the cave first, even if the orc was there and you noticed the barrels of poison, you couldn't really interrogate him if you didn't know that the farmers' fields were poisoned. Quests could certainly be more flexible, but logically for any semi-elaborate quest you are going to have to take certain steps before other options become available. The barriers that block sections of a quest could be more natural than an NPC / key / etc simply not showing up until an event triggers it, but overall DD's quests are still better than in many RPGs.

The wastelands are primarily hack and slash. However, I did a lot of finishing off quests before doing the blessing ceremony, so was in the mood for some hack and slash by then. When I got bored with that I just went straight for the end bosses, and ran past much of the fighting on the way there.

That's what I LOVE about ! First it's a very fun MMORPG with all the quests, talking, interacting, etc. and then you've just watched some of your dearest friends like Mardaneus, Gomoe, etc. Get toasted! Then you end up, under the desert
sun with all these little imps shooting darts at you and then you get to unleash all that pent-up energy and rage against those hapless little creatures! Every game I've played could use a few fixes, but comes really close to being the perfect MMORPG and I hope that DD2 can achieve that goal.

Ok I know what RPG is but what is MMO? or MMORPG?

I would love to have this game modable to. I mean with the ability to set up a map and place monsters in it and adjust there strenghs and so forth. I know thats a pipe dream but doesn't hurt to dream.

I enjoy moving monsters around by using ressurect and aura of command. I have 21 orcs in one of the rooms of the Council of 7 chamber. About 8 Giant orcs, two or 3 of which are elite. A couple of Orc summoners, 2 overlords, 4 heavy war drummers and a couple of smaller units. With a one handed dagger with no mods that does 40-67 damage this battle can take 10 to 15 minutes. Its fun because I can't kill the giant orcs before the wardummers restore there health. Thus the wardrummers must be taken out first. Because there are 4 drummers, almost always one of them drums before I can kill any. So for about 10 minutes its a near stalemate. Those are the battles I like, where they are really earned. So thats my way of modding, only a bit time consuming since I only have 2 in aura of command. With 3 in command, sometimes I can't drop the monsters off. They won't un_command as it were. Anyways the wardrummers are my favorite monster, not having been to the wastlands yet. Frankly I don't want to leave my home by the market place.

At some point after I save of course. I will lure this group over to the council members to see if they will help me fight or just stand there.

Why would I? Simple misconception, nothing more.
