Partly because I entered the wastelands at level 43, I found the battles there a bit watered down. I really didn't want to go through the game again with another charactor, at least not so soon after I just finished. But I still wanted to play my original chactor with some of the nicer equip I reloaded.

To that end I have been relocating monsters to the island. One of the best areas for combat I think. Originally all that is there are 7 Sand Devils, these particular ones seem to have some of the highest HP's of any enemy in game next to main bosses. There were also ghosts there when you 1st arrive.

I have added 9 death knights, 2 dragon riders, 1 additional sand devil, and 1 imp mage so far. The sand devils keep my warrior locked up in fire walls which can cause your charactor to jerk similar to when poisoned, thus when surrounded by 5-8 of these it is impossible to engage the dragons which with the equip I wear can kill me in 3 hits. I don't use any range attacks other than the cage spell, which isn't so much an attack as it keeps them for later while I deal with the devils and death knights. Fighting with a 2 handed sword with 1000 HP and 480 Mana, 70 fire resist and 30-40 in other resists, this battle takes about 10 minutes, maybe 8-12 restoration potions and about the same stamina potions. Though my charactor is level 50, it isn't actually as strong as level 50 because I have 61 unused bonus points. I have used about 6 to 7 charms to boost mana and vitality. Wouldn't go higher in order to keep this battle balanced.

Before I got the island stocked I would fight with less resists and less HP's.
I am debating whether to bring a 3rd dragon rider. Would like to get at least 1 of every unit type available for variety. The one thing lacking in combat in the wastlands is there usually is only 1 or 2 types of monsters in each area. This means that they don't support each other too well and it becomes fairly easy to clear areas.
