The play testing is being done at Larian studios, in Oudenaarde Belgium. If you are going to be in the area, see here for details. AFAIK there is not going to be an open beta.

not a beta test. but demo?
Div1 had a demo

and just so you know, i met divinity through a cd with div's demo..
and i also found out that, when you reach the end of the demo, with the dragon rider near aleroth, if you press esc, when it ends, the game continue! i did all the quests in rivertown. only the dark forest and that city to the north were blocked..
somthing i think i mentioned ages ago in div 1 forum..

I'd expect there to be a demo; there was for DD and BD, anyway.

I downloaded the DD demo after seeing a reference to it on some site (on freeware games, IIRC), then had to wait a few months for the game to be finished and released.

Jeeeeeeeezzzzzz, been away here for to long.

too late I guess. I tested Beyond Divinity as well, only a single day, but still. It's worth a day off though.

Hi! Is there any more news on when the beta testing will take place?

We've had a few setbacks which forced us to delay the tests slightly, but we've got good hope that we'll be able to start them soon.

Ah great, I already accepted the fact that there wasn't going to be any beta-test for me. I might be able to squeeze out some weekends. In which period do you plan to run the beta-tests now then?

We plan (and hope) to start them soon.
The testing days do not take place during the weekends.
I, and my colleagues too I guess, do like spending time with friends and family too wink

This 80 year old who resides in the USA would certainly like to have an opportunity to play test Divinity 2.

Don't suppose there would be an chance to get into the Beta when you are ready to allow other then locals to play?

Best wishes for a sucessful game.

There was no open beta for Beyond Divinity, just in-house playtesting. I wouldn't expect that to change for ED (they have not mentioned anything about a beta, anyway).

If a closed beta is ever released (like "register here and we'll select some of you, send these guys a link where you can download the beta and you'll have to abide to a 'don't show this to other or you'll pay the consequences!" rule"), this Dragon Acolyte would me more than honoured if chosen *__*

Meh, if I lived anywhere between a thousand miles from Larian Studion, I would drive there with joy to to participate in the testings *__*
