and he is soooo pissed right now.. oops

any way, i had a question(s) about the game :hihi: on what engine does the game run?
and to any one who played the game:
what kind of gameplay does this genre contain?
like, god-of-war flying style play?
or any element from dark-messiah?

RPG with lots of combat.. yes, maybe bit like Dark Messiah. Not much combos and such, but definetly good combat. It has lots of story in it too. Reminds me Divinity 1.. Only bit less of story and more killing things.

Engine.. heh, I would like to know too. My guess is that its Larian own engine.

What to expect? Nice RPG that will please ppl that played Divinity 1. laugh At least it pleased me and I played only that one.. (rest kinda wasn´t my cup of tea, first is simply best for me, but this one is quite close.. could be better ofc).

I'm not 100% sure but I believe they were using some version of the GameBryo engine, along with SpeedTree for the trees.

Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, that's what I know as well.

Just look at the intro logos, there should be some hints.

Comparing the game to another isn't possible.

That said, I'm now playing Risen and the combat is very different, that's for sure.

In Divinity 2 you can jump into the middle of a fight and dish out serious amounts of pain, and reasonably expect to survive. In Risen you have to be a lot more careful as even small encounters can kill you if you slack off on your blocks and counters.

I like both games, but I think Divinity takes the cake for pure polish. Everything looks finished and smooth in D2, with absolutely gorgeous 3d models and animation. Risen has somewhat clunky looking models and rigging. On the other hand, Risen seems to have a much bigger world to explore - despite that it takes place on a small island.

Combat in Risen is much closer to realistic fighting than D2, but D2 has a much faster pace to it.

As others have suggested, gameplay videos are the way to go.
