Just installed the English version (released today in BeNeLux)

Anyway, after the Name and appearance part I get another film part followed by a loading screen but then my PC just goes numb. My CD drive nor my harddisk respond.

I'm forced to quit using CTRL+ALT+DEL -> 'game not responding'

Who can help me, i have a GeForce 8600 GTS with latest drivers installed.

Also I found this in the install folder:

Try to run with admin rights.
That's weird, actually. All these errors shouldn't produce game freeze, since different PhysX version isn't so important and 8600 definitely has more then 128Mb VRAM and Shadermodel 3.0 as well.

Hmm... perhaps too many tasks/processes on background? AntiVirus software?

Right-click on Divinity2 shortcut and "Run as[...]".

Also, can you make a screenshot? Press "Print Screen" button when you see that blackness and then run Paint. Use Edit->Paste to paste screenshot and save it as jpg. Upload here.

I installed that nvidia 182.50 driver, the sound during the movies has even more lag and stutter then before.

Game still crashes during load screen after startingmovie with lovebug and red ship...

Getting desperate here..

Well I had the same black screen when i was in 1680*1050 resolution, when i switch to another one it works, but i think its 640*480 because everytime i restart div2 its on that resolution.
As far as i can remember it didnt look like that when i went for a playtest in april frown

link to how it looks. The black line on the ground becomes white in dark areas and moves when i move frown

tried tinkering with all the graphic options, but nothing changes.

Got a e8500 dualcore (3.16ghz), 4gb ram, vista 64 bit and an ati 4870 512mb ram with the most recent drivers:(

So i read the troubleshoot hoping to find a solution there, wich i did found, but it didnt get rid of the black line, and created more problems to boot frown

the white around the picture is me failing at paint by 'moving' the picture accidentally smile

I found this post @ gamebanshee, unfortunately no one replied to this mail and i'm not allowed to register to their site atm, so I can't respond or contact the author of this.....

Anyway, his specs are different from mine but describes the same problem.

One of my friends just got the game. It is running smooth all time.

The problem is it is ONLY loading durring 2th loadscreen after pushing new game. 1th load screeen use less than 10 sec with max grapic but 2th wont finish with ether max or minium grapics.

Computer is using;
Win XP pro 5.1 build 2600 SP 3
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
c: page file 4000-5000MB (game is installed on this disc)
d: page file 3000-4000MB
Free space 17.4GB

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, 3600+ 1,9GHz (2 CPUs)
1024MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB (XFX version) (Main screen card)
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS 512MB (Secondary screen)

As i read from requirement this should work fine, but could any explain why 2th screen wont finish load?

My son brought this game today and has the same problem as above.
Game becomes unresponsive at the screen after the ladybug/flying ship cut scene.

He has:
Windows XP SP3
AMD Athlon X64 3700+ cpu
2GB mem
9800GT graphics 182.50 drivers

Tried new drivers 182.50, physix, reinstall game etc. etc.

Have you installed VC redist?
Also, try to change resolution to lower values, like 1024x768, etc...
And, read that too.

Installed the VC redist off of the DVD, but might try downloading it seperately from Microsoft.

Tried everything from that post but no luck.

Wonder if the 2008 VC Redist would help as the one on the DVD is the 2005 redist?

I've noticed a few people over the Web having problems with the newly released English version due to bugs etc, how long before a patch will be available?

If can't get it to work properly, i'll see if i can return it to the store but pretty disappointed.
