Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems 360 - Can't equip new weapons

To begin, I am loving this game.
However, the technical problem I keep coming in contact with
is rather disheartening.

Currently, I have a lvl 12 ranger type in Broken Valley.
Seems whenever I attempt to equip a better bow then the one
I currently have equipped, the weapon disappears from the character.

It is still in the menu, and states that it is equipped.
However, once I exit the menu, it is gone from sight and pressing
the green (A) button does nothing, as well as any magic linked
to the arrows. Meaning, say the poison arrows.

I have all the stats and more I need for a different weapon,
generally a better bow, but no matter what weapon I attempt this
with, the same happens.

The result of this leaves me little choice but to use a weak
weapon, and holds me back from advancing in my weapons.

If anyone can tell me how to resolve this issue, I'd greatly
appreciate it. Thank you.

Did you try un-equipping the bow/weapon first, then equipping a new one? How about selling the one you have directly from the equipped list of inventory?

Does it work any better selecting a weapon in the inventory, hitting A and then Equip?

Did you re-assign the buttons to something else, try it, and then switch back?

Do you have any previous saves (preferable recent) that are working properly? It might help to exit out to the dashboard and restart the game again (worth trying, anyway).
