I had time for a quick play, that ended in quite a long play, and have to say that I love it. kitty

I have been looking out for a game like this for some time, a game that draws you in and gets you involved with the story and characters, and may I add some pretty nifty combat.

It's such a shame that they don't make games like this anymore, it's all about graphics these days. The graphics in DD are nothing to write home about but are brilliant for the age of the game. They are more than enough to keep me pleased. thankyou

well, not "like this" exactly, but Books of Eschalon are new and fairly good, especially in NPC dialogs (IMO). You can try that until new DD is released smile they will be cheap during steam sale next week (estimation).

I think I am becoming addicted like those folk on the promo video. Should I stop playing now before it's to late and become hopelessly hooked?

You will be featured in the 20 year anniversary video if you're not careful.

Trust me, the game gets even more better as you progress.

As for the graphics:

I actually find them amazing. Everything is hand-painted and this just gives a unique and artistic feel to Divine Divinity.

I hope Original Sin feels like Divine Divinity. They've already brought back the reputation system, ability to interact with the world and murder anyone, let's just hope the turn-based combat proves to be an excellent choice rather than real time combat.

Either way, Original Sin is confirmed to have great dialogue, great quests (I can't even remember any fetch quest in any Divinity game as all the the quests seem to be composed of interesting story-lines and content) and a great story.

It seems you're as much delighted as I am about Original Sin wink

The game isn't released already,
But it feels to me like ....
A Gem is really coming soon
Not a blowing up balloon !
biggrin

I have to agree.. this game is 10 years old now and it is as fun, if not more fun, than many of the recent RPGs I have played. I like this more than Torchlight by a longshot.. it has that old-school feel and that's exactly what I have searching for lately..

The last game I played that was as good as this was Fallout 2... and others like Baldur's Gate and all that kind of thing. That's what this reminds me of. I hope the "Original Sin" game is going to be as good as this.

Divine Divinity is a masterpiece in gaming history.

Larian is a good reason for considering games as a cultural and artistic good instead of a waste of time !
