Hello,
I have joined the thieves guild, I got the quest to find penumbra but I don't know where to search. I have razed the thieves guild (and killed them all) but I haven't found miss P. Did I miss something? I have also read things about her dagger but I have no clue what this is all about...
thx,
H.

At the far eastern section of the thieve's guild (aka the dungeon under the ducal inn) are two doors, one to the north and one to the east. And there is a guy standing guard there, whom you can talk to and say some stupid things. He is guarding Penumbra which is locked up to the north. There is a key I believe, if I am not mistaken, to the door lying somewhere close to this guy. Just hit alt and check. But if you unlock the door he'll come at you. You have to make him leave for pee and then free her.

I don't know what happens if all of the thieves are killed. This map shows where you should find Miss P. Hope it helps!

You have to be a member of the thieves guild, then you can enter. Rob upstairs has 2 little quests for you, then you're a thief Kiya

Another thing, having difficulty beating all the mummies in the Holy Grail quest, any ideas on how to defeat them or the quest?

Pickpocket skill lvl 1, do you have it? If so, activate it in your skill icon like a spell. Stand next to Sweeny, 1. right click, the cursor should change into a pouch, 2. left click on him - an inventory should open: Take out the necklace. Kiya

You need Pickpocket level 1 to get the necklace.
If you move the grail closer to the door a few times no one will bat an eye until you pick it up and step out; you can return later when you are stronger. Alternatively, you can grab the grail and run to the back of the room. Only 2 or 3 should be able to keep up to you; then you can slowly move forward again to take them out a couple at a time.

I have the same "problem" - I found the entrance from the sewers, but the door won't unlock even with Level 4 lockpicks.
I don't want to waste a skill point on Pickpocket, besides having no desire to join the Theives.
There is no such key near the dweeb and no option to make him "go for a pee" (actually, it sounds like you made that up )
Any help appreciated.

No, sorry, it is true. If you have the quest to free Penumbra, you can leave the door to the east and the thief guard will go (to pee). Kiya
But no entry via sewers possible. There is a lever on the other side...

You can buy rings or amulets with a bonus to Pickpocket, but if you don't want to join the thieves' guild just skip the quests that required access (Corinna's summoning, holy items). If you have not joined the guild, how do you know there is no key there?

If you have not joined the guild, how do you know there is no key there? I really believe there must be an *alternate* way to do this - since the whole of Verdistis sewers opens into various buildings. For example: I was able to free the little girl's cat before joining the Merchant's Guild (contrary to Val's Quest Guide) by entering the guild basement through the sewers. I know there is no key because I can enter the first room of the thief basement through the Inn's trapdoor. So: I am quite sure there must be another way to free Penumbra - some of us want nothing to do with the Thief's guild and I find it hard to believe the Larians haven't thought of that

Well, if you join the thieves guild you get as a reward an extra skillpoint in lockpicking or pickpocketting. So you actually "loose" one skillpoint but you immediatly win one back. If you want to be holier than the pope then I don't think you can solve this quest.
BTW : I confused the assasins-guild with the thieves guild so that was why I never found Penumbra (I was in the wrong dungeons).
And as a last remark : it is really worth it to free this little lady if you like a good spanking from time to time :-))

Other option to get out of that grail dungeon, keep the teleporter stone in your backpack then teleport out, you can always get back later.

Well looks like I have to buy something that has pickpocket because I ain't going to try to find some enemies as many of them are killed, hehehhe. Oh if anyone noticed, I finally got back the teleporter stones, oh how much I miss them. Those beautiful and useful little mini-pyramids.

It´s worth to free this Lady, cause i enjoyed her special works on my body. I spend very very much time with her. Except when i´m with the little-elven lady in the wood.

ok I had no idea what I was doing when I free'd her (orignialy when I found her I killed her than I loaded and saved her) and she said she was going to her freind the summoners house. where in the heck is that? I've looked every where and I can't find the place.
if practice makes perfect but no ones perfect then why even bother?

Actually that is corrina's house. It's not far from the teleporter in Verdisitis (a bit to the south-east from the little park where the teleporter is). You can't really see the door very well unless you hold the ALT-key. I stumbled into the house by accident the first time I played the game. There are some cool maps of Verdistis on this forum (just use the search function and you'll find them). So, anyway it is Corrina's house who is the supposed lesbian girlfriend of Penumbra.

Can somebody tell me how to get the Free Penumbra quest? I have the Summoning quest and the Wine quest but not the Free Penumbra quest. Problem is, that the guard does not want to leave his post - I tried by standing in the other room for some time. Maybe it's a bug?

You should already have the quest if Corinna told you about the wine and book you need. Which room are you standing in? Try talking to the guard again and heading back west; he should move towards the southern room. PS don't use the branch from Mpenzak; it is a fake.

Thanks Raze. I took the other way out and unlocked the door and killed the guard. Only then the quest "Free Penumbra" became active. Weird... I think it was bugged. But all is fine right now. It's the same with my wine quest - it's still active but the guy with the wine is gone (since I gave him away for burning the cart) and I picked up the wine from his room.

How long should I wait for Penumbra? I got there and the house is empty (some time ago I met Corinna with a demon. The demon killed her and I slayed him.). There is only a hatch, but locked tight. Lockpick LVL5 failed. What to do?

Well, even one try to move the grail causes mummys' attack. I have 90 points of strenght. How much will I need? Alternatively, you can grab the grail and run to the back of the room. Only 2 or 3 should be able to keep up to you; then you can slowly move forward again to take them out a couple at a time. Also all of them attacked me. It seems hopeless, because while fighting them I drank 110 Super Restorations and still there was none slaught! All of them were alive, just draining health from me. I start to think they're unbeatable

"How long should I wait for Penumbra?" If Corinna is dead, Penumbra will hang out in the park, but will not talk to you. To get Corinna back as a merchant (this will not let you complete any quests she is involved in); see Reviving dead NPCs / Fix for giving Corinna a fake Talking Tree branch"Well, even one try to move the grail causes mummys' attack. I have 90 points of strenght. How much will I need?" 'Strength' was being used generally, as in a higher character level with more hit points and better equipment.

Ehhh, this looks like a bug At first, Penumbra quest seemed autonomic, and in my opinion should be Thanks anyway.

Well, the main reason you need to rescue Penumbra is to get a book needed by Corinna. After that, you would at most see her once. Spoiler ~~[color:"#27384A"]By asking for 'special treatment' in the brothel, you would get into Penumbra's room with the spike bed, whips and chains, loose most of your hit points and get a few experience points.[/color]~~ (highlight the text to read)

ABC, did you encounter a cut scene with gossiping females? It's near Corinna's house - are you sure, you're at the right spot? http://www.kiya1.de/images/Div_Verd.jpg.htmlat number 8 on this map? And if you enter this house - you have to be quick, so she is not killed.
