I'm quite taken aback by how well this game is shaping up! Kudos to the Larian team. I really enjoyed Divine Divinity and am pleasantly surprised by how polished this game is already.

First, what I like:

-The research trees are already pretty deep
-The strategic maps are easy to understand and polished
-The different dragon abilities
-The humor
-The way it all comes together rather nicely
-The setting (but it's not *quite* Steampunk enough, i.e. I don't like the lazers)

What I don't like:

-The way battles become a spam-fest
-The way that, as such, my unit upgrades don't really seem important
-The overall speed of battles
-The lack of information provided about the different dragons types
-The bunching of units and how they all seem to spaz out
-The lack of tactical choices

If you guys could possibly slow down combat, that would make this game significantly better. Perhaps a higher cost for each unit, more HP per unit, less resources, or a combination of all the above. Make my units more than just spam, please.

I'd also like to see different strategic points in each battlefield, too. Much like Company of Heroes, for example.

Anyway, fantastic job so far. I look forward to seeing where this goes and providing more input!

Of note: I had no idea that the game pace was changed (I haven't played in a couple days) but I'm SUPER EXCITED about that. Well done.

Will fire up a game now!
