I have a short term memory. And calling it a "memory' is being overly generous. It would be nice if there was a message window in the game to show damage, damage bonuses, experience per kill, things like that. Something one could scroll back through to see what they did and got. It scrolls by so fast on the screen that I either miss it or instantly forget it.

I don't know if this was mentioned on the old forum, and I didn't see it mentioned here yet so I thought I would.

I could have been very happy not knowing that. "Game over, man! Game over!"

That would be useful. I've hit pause to check experience and reputation changes, but if you just solved a quest and are still in a conversation, that doesn't work. Maybe something like the conversation log, but it would only need to keep the last couple dozen values. Also, some spell books can teach you different spells ('sparks' can either give you Lightning or Elemental Hail, IIRC) and there are some bonuses taught as quest rewards; if you don't catch the message right away you have to search through your skill list to see if you can find what is new.

I want a window that breaks down what makes your total Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Constitution, Damage, Offense, Defense, Encumberance Limit, Stamina, Health, Mana, Resistances and anything else I can't think to list.

I agree. All that would be nice to see. Maybe a message box with 50 lines in it or so. And as new information comes up the old lines get bumped off. So you can always see your current information. The Black Isle games have spoiled me with those windows.

especially planescape torment. that game has spoiled me on a lot of things. including the message box thing.

i thought i was too slow to see the stuff. i'm generally too busy fighting to be able to try and see how much xp i get. plus i get a 6% xp bonus per kill as well.

I'm not really fussed about watching the numbers go by. It's not like I can change them. I'd only bother if an enemy was giving me trouble, to see what I was doing wrong.

That would be something that could be included : If the enemy is resisting your attacks. Then you could see that and adjust.
