The point is if your party member has everything he wants then he gets bored. If your only party member is bored he stops playing and the DM quits and you lose out on playing with your only game group. To stop that you have to sacrifice everything and give it to the spoiled party member to keep em happy so the game doesn't end. Then you get killed, because your character is non developed and the group blames you. Its a lose lose situation thats what i experienced and toughed it out for the sake of the game because i like DnD, but no more i quit the party and here i am. Well thats my personal experience, so don't take it the wrong way....

My bf and I quit the last PnP D&D group we were in (2nd edition) because the players (friends of friends) were just pure crap. The DM was alright, but the players didn't even care that one of the party members were going to die. Anyway, we quit that after playing for a few months.

The current one we're playing is 3rd edition in OpenRPG. It's actually pretty fun, considering that we're playing with total strangers. We've been playing for a few weeks. It sucks whenever the group dynamic is ... but with strangers you don't really have that problem, since everyone is more polite to each other.

Hey there, I recently got back to my Vampire: the masquerade addiction (I've played the PC game redemption a few times and I love it ...) and now I've bought the 3th edition rulebook . For the Masquerade, although I think Dark Ages: Vampire is also quite nice ... Anybody knows V:TM ? It's a great game, also very dark, and I think with a lot less rules then AD&D (and less dices, only d10 ).
