Have an issue where things I can see in the editor and I know are there are not appearing or changing when I publish the mod (local or to workshop).

In this screenshot (https://imgur.com/a/NVFtY) taken in the editor. I can see this trader clearly has this skillbook in her trade treasure. I save everything and publish. Yet the published mod doesn't show anything.

I've done multiple updates this week and this keeps happening (intermittently?) with workshop users reporting changes aren't there. But looking in the editor states different. After 'X' time some report the mod just starts working too sometimes.

So I can't tell if there is a problem with the publish setting or the steam workshop isn't giving people updated files immediately? Anyone else?

Are you changing the version number in project settings? I think they added version checking internally. I'd have to read the patch notes again to be sure.

I had this happen with my first project, amongst other things. To solve it I copied the level over into another project and published it that way. I'm sure there must be other ways though.

Hi D00med,

Are you loading your mod in an existing save? Trade treasure is saved in your save file, so when you update your mod and load the existing save it will load the old (saved) trade treasures.

It is also possible that the treasure table your skillbook is in generated a different set of items this time.

You can get around this by disabling your mod, loading a save, saving, and re-enabling the mod. Though, as far as I can tell this will also remove everything else which isn't vanilla.

Also make sure you let the trader restock their inventory. That happens every real-time hour since the last restock or after you leveled up. To make it easier for testing, just create a save when this condition is met and you haven't talked to that NPC yet. In the editor you can just point on your dummy character and press CTRL+SHIFT+L, that will level you up, hence refresh the trader.

I always start a new game, quickly run through the tutorial and find which ever vendor I've changed in fort joy. Again same results. Hence why I think the behaviour is odd.

I've classed all the skill books into their class type (https://imgur.com/a/lxjIM), as that screenshot shows all rogue skills are in same group and 1 of the 3 is showing. (Had another issue where they weren't showing because of faulty root templates, but that's fixed as the editor shows them in game now). But I've experienced it with all groups in the treasuretable.

Will try changing the version number as fireundubh suggested. And do a minor update to see if anything changes in the behaviour.

Update: Now I can't get treasuretables in the editor to update again, despite restarting the whole thing. New entry is there "GlacialSurf" but won't show up on NPC despite their treasure table says it's group is there. - Remade a second root template again and it fixed (2nd time in 2 days this has happened).

Thinking perhaps treasuretables are not being updated when changes to stats file occurs?

Update 2: Published locally with version update change and seems to be working, published to workshop and now waiting for mod users to report back to me that it's not happened again.
