Hello, i found a annoying bug, that keeps happening.

I am playoing on a xbox one x (digital version of the game)

Maybe this is known allready, If not i hope it gets solved.

When i press right trigger on my controller, and select character, i saw that my damage was not correct.
It showed 500 something, when i then go to equipment, and then back to character it would display the correct attack again of 800 something.

I thought it was only a display issue, but when i play tester it, i found that your danage is indeed reduced.
Noticed this bug both on normal and tactician !

Was not able to edit my post above ;(

I forgot to mention that what happens is that when this bug occurs, your “from boost” damage is lost. When the bug is that occuring, you are getting the from boost bonus damage!

Hi All,
I am having an issue with the MacOS version of the game Version 2.0.119.430 which I just got on Steam. I have 2 PS4 controllers and when the second one is connected they both fail to work properly, like multiple keypresses or no keypresses all totally screwed up. With 1 connected it's fine. I have tried with Bluetooth and USB and I tried the PS4 compatibility settings in Steam on and off as well as the Steam Mac Controller USB driver, but to no avail.

I tried 2 x PS3 controllers and that has a different bug where the game just lurches or pauses randomly while playing but I figure the game says it supports PS4 controllers so I shouldn't have to do anything special right?

When I run debug on start up with CMD I get these controller devices detected:
https://imgur.com/4NNO9rf

Anyone got any smart ideas? This is a real pity because the game looks so awesome and I really want to play it split screen coop.

An often-encountered bug. In a coop game the game crashes for a joining player. We were able to find a workaround by loading different savegames but it's not reliable and is extremely annoying up to unplayability. Could anyone tell what the reason for this behavior can be and how to get rid of it?
Russian version, enhanced edition.

I have a bug during Initiation quest. There are buttons on which you have to place items of 7.5 , 5 , 2 and 1 kg weight. But these buttons seem not working for me at all. Any item just fall through these buttons on the floor and nothing happens. No "click" animation, absolutley nothing. It seems that their script has been broken somehow. I tried to reload previous savegames - it didnt help. I just cant go on with the story =( There is also minor problem with any viens. I cannot dig them, it is said that the vien is already in use.

I also found out that in another game, which I play coop with a friend, we didnt face the problem. We removed all 4 bariers by pressing those buttons with right items. I noticed that Wolgraf sees a trap near the entrance of the room with buttons but it doesnt happen during bugged walkthrough. It seems that the floor itself is bugged. Need some kind of patch to fix the floor or to remove these bariers. I remember there was another wierd thing with coop walkthrough - When you first time meet a body of Capitan Nick on a ship. You have to go through lots of traps and explosives and totem that burns you. I did it during my singleplayer walkthrough, but when we came to the place with my friend during coop walkthrough - everything was already destroyed - bombers, totem, mines just like it was when i was playng single. It seems like two diffenrent profiles conflict with each other and it creates certain bugs.

Have the host check the characters to see if any are encumbered. There is a known issue that can cause the client to crash in multiplayer when loading or joining if a character is encumbered (the main cause of that was fixed in one of the last updates, but a few people have still run into this).
In that case, the host dropping or redistributing the excess weight and saving the game should let the other join.

Veitarn
Just having different profiles shouldn't cause a conflict. However, it does sound like some information got carried over into the new game, likely due to a glitch or corrupt files in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition\LevelCache' folder.
Email your save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) to supportdos@larian.com, and I can check here if teleporting past the tests will let the end of the trial work properly.
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames_patch' folder.
In Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

Deleting the files in the levelcache folder, reloading a save before first entering Lucualla Forest (if available) and re-entering would likely fix the problem, at the cost of redoing that section of the game.

Thank you, that was exactly the issue! Since we started to track our weight we haven't encountered this bug even once.

Sorry for writing here. I have a problem with the game, the game Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition can not detect a discrete video card. And if you install the game Divinity - Original Sin (classic), then a discrete video card will appear in it. A laptop HP

The game can only detect display/GPU combinations that are active when it starts. There is an option in the graphics drivers to start specified applications on the discrete graphics, though it doesn't always work.

In the graphics driver settings, make sure the game is set to run on the discrete graphics (right click an open area of the desktop to start the nvidia Control Pannel or AMD Radeon Settings). It varies based on the GPU and driver version, but there should be a section where you can have specified applications start either on the 'high performance' or 'power saving' GPU.

Did you try checking the laptop's power saving option to set the GeForce/Radeon graphics to default globally? Also, check if there are different settings there for power vs battery use.
Right click an open area of the desktop, and if there is a 'Graphics Properties...' menu option, you can open Intel's Control Panel (Advanced Mode, 3D tab) to set the laptop to Performance mode, as well.

At least with the original release of D:OS, this issue was sometimes just cosmetic, and switching the game to use integrated graphics in the graphics drivers would drop the performance). That was rarer in the Enhanced Edition.

Check if your laptop has a 'secure boot device' option. Disabling that generally helped with those who encountered this issue in the original release (that is more common in laptops designed for Windows 8). See the old topic Graphics Adapter Not Recognized by D:OS for details.

If that doesn't help, you could try disabling the integrated graphics. Unfortunately, the layout and options in the BIOS vary between different motherboards. It should be listed under 'graphics' or 'system', possibly after enabling an 'advanced mode', or going into an 'advanced settings' section. You should be able to download a BIOS manual from HP's support website. There should be a specific key or key combination to press on startup to get into the BIOS (Esc and F10 are fairly common), which should be shown on screen before Windows starts to load.
However, this might just get the game to start on the 'Microsoft Basic Render Driver', rather than the discrete GPU.

Hello

I'm really sorry if there is somewhere on this forum answer 4 my question, but I can't find it here, aswell on Steam. Only same question, no answeres.

I've just entered graveyard which is next to church and there are some paddons here which I hear but can't see. My perception lvl is 12, but I thought it is too low so I used burning eyes and bought some gear with +1 perception. It is not working, only thing I can spot here is strange button which 'turns off' poisonous ground, but only 4 a second. It is strange because all traps and paddons which I've already encountered were easy to spot or disarm.

I'm playing tactician mode. I know it may be funny 4 some people, but I'm kind of a perfectionist and it draws me crazy so much I stopped playing game 4 a week. Is this a bug that this paddons are invisible or I need for ex. 20 perception to see them? Can sb say it clear?

I originally posted this in Steam

My game crashes every time the game shows a loading screen except when loading from the main menu.

Examples of crashes
* Going back to the main menu.
* Loading a quicksave or any kind of save in order to redo something. I can quit the game and then load that save but is way slower.
* Exploring the "Evelyn and her healing stone" quest which causes a loading screen when she uses the stone in one of the two dying people. This makes me unable to proceed with her quest and I'll have the same problem with any other quest that has a loading screen. Like the Star Stone in the murder room or the cave in the beach protected by orcs.

Things I've tried
* Verify game files with Steam.
* Create a new profile in Windows in case there is some profile corruption.
* Use a different computer.

In both cases I get the same error, which makes me think there is something wrong with my saves. Because of that I started a new game and I can load the save from that new game again and again without issue. I can load the save of my original game from inside that new game, but NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Once inside my original game, any load screen will crash.

Any help? I really want to be able to continue with my original game.

Huarahunga:
Where exactly is it that you can hear them (coordinates on the map, or under the mini-map in the mouse and keyboard UI)?
I don't recall anyone being hidden around there that need a high perception to see.

BlueSialia:
Unfortunately, that does indeed sound like something corrupt in the save, that doesn't cause an issue with the initial load, but will when triggering the 'cleaning up session' procedure.

Do you have any previous save that you can load and then reload (or return to the main menu, etc)?

Please email supportdos@larian.com with your latest save (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc), and if available the most recent save that is fine and oldest that crashes when reloaded. If you are using any mods, also include a list of those enabled and/or the modsettings.lsx from your profile folder.

There are few of "hearable but invisible" traps this zone, where u enter graveyard next to church. One of them is on x:409 y:334. Is this bug that we cant see them?
Aditionally there is a button on the wall on x:398 y:367. He is broken too in my view. I used Z axis view checking coordinates wink.

Thx for reply btw

I don't hear anything but ambient noises at x:409 y:334, after loading a save before leaving town and heading straight there (with a perception of 15). After triggering the ambush and killing the group of undead near the church, the only thing making noises were the group of ghosts near the waypoint, when the characters were close enough to hear them.
I don't know what that button does, or is suppose to do.

Aren't devs willing to patch the item handler limit of 64.000 that render the game useless?
The game is a time bomb! It will fails no matter what... I never saw somethings like that!
My playthroug of many hours are useless! I can't even play anymore because some bad code you Larian made, but the real problem is that you are aware of the issue and pretends It is ok to let It be and tell the users to "Just don't craft/trade/etc. a lot"... Is like saying Just don't play a Lot!
It is a real problem that should be taken seriously, you ruined my game, made me waste my precious time getting decent equipments because the drop rate and vendor itens are most trash.
I Lost many hours of my life doing a beautiful playthroug and it is now unplayable. ALL my Fun was throwed into the trash! All my goals was doing some Fine characters with a strong build and equipment and I can't even play my save game anymore!

I Hope you guys have some decent and do something about It, in ALL my life I never become so infuriated because a game, It made me waste my time and I no longer wants to replay It or buy the Divinity 2 because I don't want to support a Studio who threat users like this.

Unfortunately, the limit was increased as much as was possible. The item generation system is a fundamental mechanic in the game, and changing it would have an impact on many other systems, implicit and explicit, requiring very thorough testing to implement. The more widespread the effect the greater the chance of introducing bugs or unintended consequences, and the risk of causing problems that could effect many more people was judged to be greater than the chance of hitting the item limit.

When the item generation system was first designed, the number of handles seemed to be practically unlimited, so there was no reason to make it overly complicated by reusing handles, etc (it is certainly possible, but requires very careful bookkeeping to make sure the associated item really is gone and nothing will check for the original item using the reassigned handle). As development progressed, the game grew significantly, but even then no one hit the handle limit in D:OS Classic until after the issue was identified and the limit increased in the Enhanced Edition. For D:OS Classic, I have seen 2 reports of this, both with play times of 550+ hours. It was only with changes in one of the EE updates which increased the demand for handles (more items being classified as global, rather than local) that this resulted in the limit being reachable by a great deal of crafting/trading/looting, or leaving the game running and checking merchants periodically.

Hello. First of all I want to thank you for all the amazing games you guys developed. I love all of them and finished them all at one time or another. Now I found myself an excuse to return Original Sin because now its Enhanced and I'm really happy smile I finished the Classic before in enhanced so I wanted to challenge myself with honour mode and Lone Wolf for the first time but I'm having a rather annoying bug. After I... well... died to lovely Incandescent Wanderer's death explosion I had to restart the game. Some areas are in my new game appear to be explored already. Namely Homestead and Blackcove. In Black Cove containers appear searched traps disabled and in Homesteads case Hanneman not appearing (I had more then enough perception) because it already found in the game before (and thats not the only secret that wont appear because its already found once). I looked for an answer on the internet and I found these two links that are explaining what happened to me but when I try their solutions it doesnt work for me:

is there a way to fix this?

When you're in the Hall of Echoes, could you tell a soul called Amdusias 'Maxos! and say it was I who sent you? He'll know what it means.
