It does this apply and cure thing every 4 seconds and every time it happens every ability that is being cast stops. This can be really annoying when trying to evaluate your choices and then suddenly I need to reactivate my skill to see what is in range. This is made worse by the fact that most of the time when you start casting there will be around 2 seconds until it stops.
Update: it turns out that this causes a way bigger bug. It turns out that when you reload a save the bug stops, however, you can now unequip the gloves and you still won't be silenced until he either dies or unequip and equip
